I'm into my 2nd week of cpap use and I use a ResMed 10 unit. I can see each night's report on the internet (myAir) so I know the information is going somewhere. But I don't know if any of my providers or my PCP is looking at the info.
How would I know if somebody has noticed that I've received and am using the machine? It was ordered by my PCP, I got the unit from a legitimate service provider, and I'm a Medicare recipient. And I'm concerned that nobody notices that I'm going thru the compliance phase.

Re: Beginning My Compliance Phase
The durable medical equipment provider (DME) that set you up with the Resmed Airsense 10 has a financial interest in being paid. Hence they will document that you are using the machine in order to get paid for the equipment they set you up with. Nowadays, they can do that remotely by downloading your data and sending it to Medicare when Medicare requires compliance documentation in order to continue paying the DME for the equipment. (A long time ago, you were told to bring the SD card into the DME so they could get the data off the machine and send it to the insurance company or Medicare. An even longer time ago, you were told to bring your whole machine with you to the DME so they could check the compliance data.)Skuddle wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 1:00 amI'm into my 2nd week of cpap use and I use a ResMed 10 unit. Now, it's another whole story whether any of your doctors are having their staff download your data and whether a doctor or PA or nurse practitioner ever bothers to look at it. If you have an actual sleep doc, they may either ask you to bring in the SD card at your appointments or they may download the data directly, particularly if you report that you are having any kind of problems. But the sad fact is that many CPAPers have doctors, including sleep doctors, who never look at the data gathered by the machine. They may ask, "Are you using the machine every night?", but they'll accept your answer at face value rather than actually looking at the data.
