My poor experiences after a gallbladder operation with my Philips Dreamstation

Hi. I've had some poor sleep experiences since returning from an operation to remove my gallbladder.

Before the operation 2 months ago, I'd successfully used Philips-branded CPAP machines for almost 15 years, with the original machine being recalled and replaced with a Dreamstation a year ago.

The air is fixed to 13 (not sure what the figure represents) with a humidifier, there is no ramp, and I use the Philips DreamWear Under the Nose Nasal mask.k.

I used the CPAP machine in the hospital, and following the operation...
1. my mouth gets dried out each night, between 1 and 4 times, causing me to wake up and drink (the humidifier is using water, and I assume it is working ok).
2. although it had been a year since I changed the filters, it got blocked, and I removed the filters
a) I ordered clones on Amazon, and they got blocked after a day or two, waking me up, and I had to remove the filters
b) I ordered additional clones from Amazon, which got blocked, too. Then, I noticed a fine white powder around the air intake. If I blow air into the air intake from the inside, i.e., reversing the airflow, the white powder comes off the filters.
c) I ordered authentic Philips filters on the net, and they also got blocked - I had to remove the fine pollen filter and wash the primary filter.
d) It seems that the filters are disintegrating
3. Often, my ears pop, and one of my hoses blew a hole and had to be replaced

As a result, I feel more fatigued every day. I visited my local Respirico consultant, and they had no idea! They confirmed that the pressure was set to 13.

How could all of my experiences be related to a lack of a gallbladder ?????

Possibly, the CPAP machine was damaged during my hospital stay.

I will rent another brand for 4 weeks to see the results change.

Any thoughts about my experiences?

Most likely, your mouth or lips are opening and air is leaking out. This is a common problem. It needs to be addressed. (Humidifiers keep the nasal passages from drying out, but are not designed for a leaking mouth.)

Post again in this thread after you use it for one to two nights.

I'd recommend that you get a ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset if possible. It's tried and true. If you can't get one, I'd recommend a ResMed Airsense 11 Autoset.

You might consider buying your new machine outright. Something seems to be problematic about the DS. The filter stuff would worry me.
