Is UV cleaning effective for Dreamwear frame?
Cleaning the Dreamwear frame is a messy task no matter how it is done, although the advantage is that it does not put pressure on the forehead or the bridge of the nose. It is somewhat clear, so I was wondering if a UV cleaner with a large chamber would do an adequate job? Unfortunately you can't really tell if UV light sterilizes a given surface because the germs are too small to see. I can't seem to find any references for this online, so perhaps someone would like to offer an opinion here.

Tell me....what germs might be holding up in the mask frame that you want to kill that didn't come from your own body or environment???

It's supposed to be possible to clean the frame in the dishwasher with a heated dry cycle. I've seen a video of it online. I'll let you know how it goes. (I already clean the tank that way.)

Silicone is extremely UV resistant. But after much searching, I could find zero info on whether UV can penetrate the silicone to kill any bugs inside the frames airway.
Super hot water/soapy water is ones best bet as silicone is also very resistant to heat. Unless you whip out the blow torch. Then you are on your own.
Food grade silicone is supposed to be "resistant" to odor transfer. But not 100%. So the harsh dish washing chemicals might impart an odor. I assume our masks are food grade and not medical grade as some are allergic to their masks. And medical grade is 100% bio-neutral.
