Hi folks
I'm newly diagnosed with OSA. 4 days ago i purchased my RESMED AirSense 10 auto with humidifier. I purchased 2 masks, the N30i and the F30i. I specifically purchased these masks as the tube connects from the top of the head, and not the front of the face. I tested 2 masks for tube from front and did not like sleeping with them. I am a stomach sleeper in general, i also like to sleep on my side. These 2 masks are not to bad for side sleeping, but the N30i is difficult to keep in a good position when i change to side sleeping, i have to keep adjusting it, and the F30i is not very comfy on the cheeks when side sleeping. Neither are good for stomach sleeping IMO, the N30i, if i can find the exact position, can just about handle stomach sleeping, but its far from perfect.
FYI - i also tested overnight the P30i with pillows, it stays in position better than the N30i, but i don't envy having those pillows in my nostrils all night every night.
I've been made aware other manufacturers masks can be connected to the Resmed AirSense 10, so i am wondering if any stomach/side sleepers on here have any good recomendations for masks that might work better for me. I am only interested in masks that the tube exits from the head.
Any input appreciated.
I should also say i have heard about specially designed CPAP pillows. I wonder if this could be the answer as i see some have groves cut out on the sides to allow for the mask. They dont look very comfy though, and the ones i have seen are not anty allergenic. I have had on and off partially blocked nostrils for a couple of years now, and i was diagnosed last week with an allergy to dust mites and instructed by my doc to only sleep with an anty allergy pillow, so if this special CPAP pillow is the answer i will need to find one with anty allergy properties.
All of this CPAP equipment is very expensive so i'm trying to avoid trialling tons of masks and pillows just to try and find one i might like.
Needs to be available in Europe.
Feedback from user experience and product recomendations will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Alistair
