Out of 6 masks the ResMed F40 is the best I've used. It is a hybrid which is a sort of nasal mask that covers the mouth. It is the only mask I've used that seals at the pressure I need for therapy. It is small, lightweight and flexible. I bet there are plenty of good reviews on it.

Thanks. I have tried the Amara View and the Hybrid and both leaked like crazy around the cheeks. Could not even get it to stop while I was awake never mind asleep. I will keep this mask in mind but it has no top attachment which typically is a big problem for me since I am a very active sleeper.

One thing that is very important to keep in mind (on this thread of high interest to me) is the sleeping position. So, when you post your favorite low-leak mask, you should mention how you sleep: back, side, stomach. Also, whether you sleep like a corpse or you spin like a top. While you're at it, how about you mention the pressures you use? Any mask could be a no-leak mask, if your pressure is 8 cm H2O!

Whoops double post. Deleting this one.

I use the N-20 nasal mask. I toss and turn and flop like a fish. I start out on my left side but then my shoulder hurts so I flop over to my right. Then that shoulder hurts so I flop back to my left. My pressure starts at 11.6 but will frequently go up especially if I flop on my back. My leak rate generally holds steady and under 15ml. It does go up when my cushion is starting to wear out. I replace my cushion maybe every 3-6 months. My whole mask usually lasts about a year. I usually throw it away because the short hose has developed a leak /break / crack from me tugging on it during my tossing and turning. The long hose fares much better I've only replaced it a few time. My most replaced part beside the dust filter is the water chamber. I hate that thing.

Mc sleepy have you tried the morph mask the one that molds to your face. It was too big for my face (I wear the small for her mask ) but when it hardens up it is nice and rigid. Edited to say I still have it if you want to try I'd be happy to send it to you.

That sounds very intriguing - I had no knowledge of the Morf Nasal Mask (not many DME suppliers carry it), but it is a semi-rigid mask, so it has a better chance of working than others I've tried. The only problems are the exhaust port (spread over a large area, so it would be difficult to reroute - to avoid being blocked by my face-down sleeping position), and the bottom-exit hose, which again, would be hard to modify to avoid me laying on it. Of course, one has to also wonder about the popularity and thus - how long the manufacturer will keep selling it. I'm afraid (since it seems pretty durable and thus - users will probably keep it for a long time, instead of having the insurance pay for a new one every 6 months...) it may follow the fate of my Breeze mask.
