My Bleeping Brevida mask

Hello all,
I just wanted to tell you about my little experiment. I'm sure someone else has tried this by now
I've been a long time F&P Brevida user. The best mask for me after literally trying over a dozen. Comfortable, quiet best seal I've had yet (strictly a side sleeper). Great night sleep and no face marks!
I then gave the Bleep eclipse a try. No leaks period! Hmmm, if it was only as quiet as the Brevida and didn't yank my nose around at night when I moved around it would be perfect (and no, I'm not, and will not be using a hose holder)
So one night I decided to pluck the magnet seals out of the Bleep Eclipse mask and insert them in the nasal cushions of the Brevida. Yes, I know it sounds silly.
After 3 weeks now I plan to stick with this. It is the perfect mask for me. Straps adjusted rather loosely, just enough to keep pulling on my nose.
My Oscar charts look the best yet. Wonder if anyone else has tried this?
Also a plan "B", which hasn't happened yet. In case I roll into bed too tired to tape on the Halos on my nose, I keep a regular Brevida cushion handy and can switch out for the night!

Sounds like a nice piece of experimentation.

Can you show us an image of what your frankenstein mask looks like?

yes I will take a picture when I get home tonight and post it up. Apparently you can purchase the magnet parts separately, but the come off the eclipse mask quite easily.

Sweet! The apnea police will *not* be pleased.

Oh yeah, there are no apnea police. You can do whatever you want. :D

Are the magnest really inserted in the Brevida cushion, or is the cushion inserted into the Eclipse magnet?
The image looks like it's the latter.

This is very interesting. But I don't understand it. Are you using it with the Bleep Halo seals? What do the magnets do?

Yes, using it with the halo seals.
Only reasons for me using it on my Nasal cushion mask are.
It is much quieter.
I flip from side to side during the night, so the mask headgear, while very loose keeps the hose from cranking my nose all over the place.

Hey folks. When I saw the Brevida nasal pillows with the Eclipse magnets in it I got to thinking about trying that trick with a nasal pillow mask. Only nasal pillow mask I have now is the P10.
So I gave it a try.

Took the piece with the magnets out of the Eclipse frame and crammed it up inside the nasal pillows. Not easy to get those magnets sticking out of the tiny opening but finally got it done. Might have been easier if I used the medium size instead of the small size that I normally use.....but I didn't want to use a brand new pillow since this was just a "try it and see if it can be done" experiment.

It can be done. I did it and briefly hooked myself up to my machine with some Halos on my nose. It works.
Maybe a wee bit more weight felt on the end of my nose (the P10 is a tiny bit heavier than the Eclipse) but nothing that someone couldn't get used to.

So....it's doable.
I still prefer the Eclipse though because I still don't like headgear of any kind and if I don't have to use it then I am not going to.

BTW folks...there has been a slight re-design of the Eclipse frame vent holes which was the reason for a lot of the noise issue and supposedly the angle of the air being vented is much less likely to hit something and bounce back and cause noise.

I haven't tried it yet because I really haven't had a need or a problem with the noise.
The Eclipse has always been silent for me.
