Repairing "SoCleaned" CPAPs...any possibilities

Hi everyone-

I've been a successful CPAP user for a while, but am on my 2nd machine (both Resmed, a 10 and now an 11). I had a SoClean hooked up to my 10 and noticed it slowly stopped being as effective...tried every cominbation of mask, settings, etc...and also it was making whistling-ish noises it hadn't made before. But it was passing pressure tests at my CPAP supplier. I cannot be exhausted like I was again, so I bought an 11, and the problems went away (hallelujah). Should have clued in at the time how hard it was to find a SoClean adapter for the 11 but I didn't. Now the 11 is starting to show the same symptoms as my 10, and I am (again) exhausted most mornings. I didn't know Resmed said not to use ozone cleaning machines, so apparently I ruined two otherwise-great CPAPs.

My question is, can they/anyone replace the seals, silicone, foam, whatever, to get these things back to full speed? I think I am about to go buy a new one out of pocket this afternoon from my supplier and apologize to my wife but I am that desperate. I would love for there to be a cheaper alternative.

Thanks everyone.

How much will your supplier charge you?

Be sure to price-shop on the internet. This is a trusted supplier who has a good deal on an open-box AirSense AutoSet 10 - https://www.secondwindcpap.com/shop/

Not sure. Left a VM with my technician and am hoping for good news.

Xtracheese;
I would think a factory authorized service center could repair Your
AS 10 and 11 .. ADVANS is one repair center there are others ..
I have not used any of them .. Reading their web sites they will
estimate repair costs then ask if You want to continue repairs ..

I know that using ozone machines voids the warranty on Resmed
machines ..

Someone on another site had an AS 10 rebuilt after it showed the
motor life warning .. I believe they charged about $400.00 to
replace motor, check electrical system, calibrate sensors, and
other work ..

Good Luck

The noises can absolutely be attributed to your SoClean, But, if both the 10 and 11 are are pushing air, and the pressure is what it's supposed to be at, There really is nothing to "fix" to address your exhaustion.

Consider other causes.
