The Air Circuit Learn function (LEARN CIRCUIT) provides a way of factoring the impedance of the air tubing assembly into the the delivered pressure. The Air Circuit Learn function must be run every time impedance in the air circuit is altered (eg, addition or removal of an antibacterial filter or addition or removal or a humidifier)...
Yeah, as I noted above somewhere, it probably doesn't make a difference as far as straight CPAP is concerned, but if you want to get the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval for Adapt SV and any machine that aggessively chases flow limitations, then you have to get somebody in a position of authority to say that. Plus base flow rates of most machines are more like 25-35 LPM at therapeutic pressure (hey, you got the leak rate encyclopedia).

Gotta go fix my watch. Anybody seen my tools?

Well, I really wasn't going to reply to this thread and add to the drama because I don't feel it merits all the attention but, Still Another Guest piqued my interest and I felt I must respond. I am not a Sara Jessica Parker type. Please cast me as Queen Latifa. She is big, strong, tough and not afraid to b---h slap "whomever needs it". pat

LOL, good one, Pat!

Actually, even though StillAnotherGuest is a fun lovin', interesting fellow, you need to have your agent call GuestForADay. GFAD is the one who was casting the movie back on page 7.

There's still something I don't understand.

How does the respiratory tract play a role in this closed circuit? Certainly it has to be the biggest variable.

As long as we don't have to study it using that gizmo in Snoredog's garage.

Seriously, though, would love to see Snoredog's garage gadgetry some day. He's got cool looking stuff.
ah that's nothin, I made a cyclone also, you should see my homemade router table.

Where is cisco / linksys when you really need them?

The only router I want is

Rabid,

Foe me youn need to expand this a bit - what context are you putting the question in ?. In relation to the diffuser ?, in relation to SA ?.

Cheers

Pat, I'm truly sorry. I thought your casting comment was made in lighthearted fun, and I enjoyed reading it. I sure meant my response (about having your agent contact GFAD rather than SAG) purely in friendly fun. I thought I'd mention page 7 to help new readers catch up with what all our movie casting talk was about.

Obviously I came across wrong. I do apologize to you. Friends? Yes!!

Precisely the point, Rabid1! All the other factors need to be constants. Only the respiratory tract is allowed to have variables.

Bill

Isn't everything constant? or at least assumed to be to make it easier to model.

It's like having "spherical cows".

NO RG, I DIDN'T MEAN THAT FOR YOU. MY CASTING COMMENT WAS MEANT IN FUN. I MEANT THAT WE ALL SHOULD STOP SNIPING AND CRITICIZING OTHERS AND GO BACK TO THE BUSINESS OF HELPING THOSE WITH SLEEP APNEA. RG, I CONSIDER YOU A GREAT FRIEND AND A HUGE HELP TO MYSELF AND OTHERS. I JUST THINK WE SHOULD DROP THIS THREAD AND LET SLEEP GUY GET HIS RESULTS AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. PEACE, QUEEN LATIFA, AKA PAT

Well that explains where those Swiss Colony cheese balls come from.
