My ResMed 10 autoset "exceeded it's motor life". How long have you had yours? Has it been checked over in case it's malfunctioning. How about your mask--how long since you've replaced it? Any leaks in your hose?
Have you actually SEEN your doctor to assess whether there's been a change in your heart failure and pulmonary issues, that have perhaps gone beyond what the CPAP at its current settings can address???

I assume the members who just tested the link were doing an update because OSCAR is already loaded on their PCs. Maybe they are charging new users only??
The Oscar software remains free for everyone. The Apnea Board website and Oscar raise the funds they need to function by running packages of ads that can try to trick users into clicking on links that are aimed at getting us to buy something. More about this here:

I don't see explained the fact that when newbies click on
https://www.sleepfiles.com/OSCAR/ they think they are being asked for a CC number. The link doesn't go to apneaboard.
Are you posting on the correct thread?

i just went to the link at the bottom of miss e's post. i went in incognito mode. downloaded with no ask for a credit card.
so i don't think being a newbie has anything to do with it.
maybe op had a problem because he went to apnea board first, where indeed there is an ad.

I’ve only had this machine less than a year.
I will speak to doc about raising pressures. It is hard to get an appointment. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

Did it indicate it was a new download and not an update to the existing OSCAR on your machine?

Your IP address is not hidden in incognito mode.

That could be. He might have tried to download it before sleepgunk gave him the direct link.

I tried the OSCAR link. They want a credit card number for a free account?
Which link did you try?

I tried the first link sent in this thread on my I phone and stopped when it asked me to fill in credit card info. I’ll try again on my Mac laptop. Thanks.

I tried again from OSCAR link first listed on this thread. Selected Mac. Then selected directions to download, green continue button. Then got same page asking for credit card. I took a screenshot of it and am trying to attach here. I’m sorry I’m not yet familiar with this format.

my original is on my windows laptop. i downloaded a version for android (debian) to my chromebook. so short answer is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

PK claims he posted not from apneaboard but from the direct sleepyhead link.
(I would bet he clicked on an apneaboard ad.)
This was the
first link posted in this thread:
Unless the OP tried to download from apneaboard and not the sleepyhead link, it's still a mystery.

OSCAR does not charge for use, nor does it solicit account/Credit Card information.
The OP is carelessly clicking on links, and not paying attention to where he is going.
- He used the proper link provided, went to sleepfiles.com/OSCAR
- He then Selected Mac
- He then Selected directions to download
- This brought him to ApneaBoard and displayed one of their prominent, intrusive, predatory ads. Here's the ad he probably saw:

- He clicked on it, was taken to another site, and was asked to provide his credentials and Credit Card
- He then blamed OSCAR for his carelessness
