I can't recall - did people get a cash payment or a replacement machine? Or did they get both?

I did not get a cash payment. I think their original offer was $50 which I considered insulting.
There are two separate things going on here. The recall offered either a replacement CPAP machine, or a $50 payment for an older machine if you chose not to get a replacement machine. There is also a class action settlement from Philips. You are automatically a member of the class if you participated in the recall process. You should get a payment if you didn't opt out of the settlement. The minimum payout from the class action settlement is around $150.

I got no payment. I suspect it's because I won't return their defective machine.

I received another check yesterday from the Settlement Administrator.

When I saw that the mail was from the Settlement Administrator, I thought for sure that it was my check for my Device Replacement award. Nope.

This check was just under $7, and the explanation was that I wasn't paid enough for the initial settlement on my PR System One. Ok then and thanks.

I am not surprised that device replacement awards are taking the longest. There was only $15 million to cover all device replacement claims. That said, even a junior developer could write a program to prorate the money across all claims in a week or two, although such a program probably already exists. If the average claim was for $500 you could only cover 20,000 claims in full. I bet more than 20,000 bought news devices and put in a claim.

At some point in reading the fine print and disclaimers in the original settlement offer, it was stated that the payments for the Device Replacement Awards wouldn't start going out till all other awards have been paid.

I'm not holding my breath for this one as I'm sure that the money will 'run out' before they get to these payments. I could be wrong though, I was once...
