Yes, I read your post. And no, me asking you, does not state or even suggest that *you* do this. It specifically asks why one (anyone), would wash a hose, and then immediately foul it.
You just gave out bad advice that you didn't think through. Then when challenged, instead of putting some actual thought into the advice you just gave. You moved the goal posts, you made it about semantics. You decided that when you saw the word "
you're", it was about *you*, without recognizing that a perfectly reasonable use of the word "you" can be anyone in particular.
But, let me rephrase this differently.
Why bother even cleaning

one is going to immediately blow a bunch of unfiltered, air from a less-clean air pump?
To the OP
Drying a CPAP hose really isn't necessary, but if it makes you more comfortable, you can use the
Mask Fit option on your ResMed, or the
Test Drive on a ResMed Air 11.
But don't wash your CPAP and then immediately foul it by using pumps, hair dryers, heat guns, etc.

I use my riding lawnmower grass bagger outlet. Just duck type it to the outlet, hang the hose over the back of the mower.
A couple of turns around the yard. Done and done.

I'm in the minority here. I set up an indoor clothes rack

I'm new at the group!), lay the hose along it, and set up the hose along it, then have a floor fan blow through it for a few hours. Yes, it may deposit some dust, I suppose, but with a rapid air flow I wouldn't think much. And the whole system is far from sterile. OTOH, the air in my apartment isn't sterile, either, and I breathe it almost every day

I washed my hose exactly ONCE. After doing everything I could to blow the water out, there were still droplets and it took DAYS to dry (I had another hose). Seems to me there's more chance of mold and other yucky stuff growing that way than just not washing your hose. I never washed it again, and have had zero ill-effects.

I wash mine every 2 months. I wash it in the morning, hang it over bathroom towel rack, and use it that night.

I recall this was one of the first questions I had here.
I asked earnestly while the back and forth and up and down eluded my direct question.
I decided later that if I wanted to dry my hose, the maskfit setting worked well and I don’t give a shit anymore if it adds a half hour of time onto the motor.
That said, maskfit is probably the cleanest way to go if you feel the need to wash or dry.

Same here.
Also worth remembering: ResMed machines, when you turn them off spend some 30 minutes blowing a very gentle whiff of filtered air that clears the humidity. I leave the hose connected for those 30 minutes, and then disconnect the hose and hang it on a hook. I also empty the humidifier - as much as that stupid AS10 design will let me - and turn it upside down to dry.
