OK, night one with my first cpap, the airsense 10, autoset. Woke up with over 8 hours of sleep and 1.1 events per hour. Success. My only problem was a bit of mouth dryness in the night. The humidity is “auto” but I guess I need to bump it up a bit for my mouth breathing style.
I think I feel a little better than usual. Hard to say for sure.

Your dry mouth can also be caused by having your head too low. I have an adjustable bed and my mouth was dry until I raised it the correct amount. I use one of my presets so the bed is raised correctly every night.

Good reminder about EU/Intnl travel.

Got the Resmed Airsense 10 today, auto set and heated tube and all. From the little bit I tried it, it seems quite comfortable. Pressure is set to range between 5 and 20.; Turns out I had 21 events per hour in the night of my at home sleep test — more than I would have guessed. Psyched to use this.
Dude-read the newbie stickies and buy an sd card for it. Do not buy the ONN walmart brand of cards. They suck ass and stop working after a few days. Walmart usually has a sandisk for under $10 or comparably priced. Just need 8 gb or next size up or whatever is cheapest.

The summary data provided by MyAir or the LCD display isn't really too useful - but good to get started. Get an SD card as lynninnj suggests, and download and install OSCAR. Then you can really go down the analysis rabbit hole!

The LCD display has two modes for sleep report.
If you set it to PLUS, rather than the default, you see more data than Myair.

I am a little late to this party, but decided to add my $0.02.
I have used both 1 Resperonics and 2 Resmed over the past 13 years.
I will be receiving my third Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV on Tuesday.
I plan to finally submit my recall request for my Respironics machine this week.
I hope I can talk Respironics into a cash settlement, which I would much prefer over one of their machines, which may have some restrictions on resale.

Here's an article that a friend sent me, and which I also had previously read on this board's "CPAP and Sleep Apnea News" section at the top left of this site:
https://www.propublica.org/article/phil ... its-soared
While I'd bought various (non-CPAP) Philips products in the past, I'll never buy anything from them again.

My Dreamstation 1 and My Aircurve 10 provide the pressurized volume of air to combat my sleep apnea. I rely on either one to do the job.

The OP has already chosen.
Choosing between Resmed and Respironics used to be almost a toss-up.
Due to recently uncovered bad actions by Respironics, that is no longer the case.
