I will have to go to the sleep lab and ask them if they can prescribe me a Resmed Auto Bipap. The sleep lab where I was only used the Prisma machines which is why I got one too.SleepGeek wrote: ↑Sun Jun 04, 2023 5:48 pmCertainly. And contact your insurance to let them know you are having this problem. Also ask them if you can get a Resmed instead.
Maybe you should spend more time here learning how to convince your DME you won't accept anything but a Resmed.strawberryfields wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2023 6:43 pmI've got the Prisma 25S Auto Bipap, and everytime I use it, it turns off at night.
btw - who is your DME?
I'm located in Germany, not the US, so I think it works a little different here. My provider is Resmed, they are not just the manufacturer here but also give out the CPAP supplies etc, not just of their own brand but others as well.
It looks similar, I'll check it.Rubicon wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 3:12 amI think I'd check the power supply first, like the brick is dying or a wire is bad.
Looks like this?

Or the cord to the wall.
Sadly the Prisma is not compatible with OSCAR, and on the machne itself I cannot see any detailed graphs.Dog Slobber wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 8:50 am
Does the Prisma provide any daily, detail therapy graphs?
How do you know it's turning off, are you waking up to a powered off machine, or do you have trace reports showing as much?
If you have reports showing the power off, can you post them?
Although you don't believe it's the outlet, you wouldn't be the first to encounter intermittent problems because of an outlet, or electrical brownout.
But, if it's new, a warranty replacement, should be a consideration.
- Check the power cables into the CPAP, power brick and outlet are all seated properly and tight.
- Try a different power outlet (consider running an extension cord)
- Plug a power sensitive device into the same outlet. To see if it is powered down, but as suggested alarm clocks or other devices may be less sensitive to a brief interruption or under voltage. For example, upon a power interruption, Resmed's will resume therapy when power is restored.
I wake up to a powered off machine yes.
I'll check and try the things you suggested, thank you!
If nothing is wrong with the power, cables, wires etc, I'll send it in for repair. Well, or if there is something wrong wth it, then too ofc.
