Return it. It's under warranty anyway....you shouldn't be having to "fix it".
Certainly. And contact your insurance to let them know you are having this problem. Also ask them if you can get a Resmed instead.

I've got the Prisma 25S Auto Bipap, and everytime I use it, it turns off at night.
Maybe you should spend more time here learning how to convince your DME you won't accept anything but a Resmed.

btw - who is your DME?
I will have to go to the sleep lab and ask them if they can prescribe me a Resmed Auto Bipap. The sleep lab where I was only used the Prisma machines which is why I got one too.
I'm located in Germany, not the US, so I think it works a little different here. My provider is Resmed, they are not just the manufacturer here but also give out the CPAP supplies etc, not just of their own brand but others as well.

I think I'd check the power supply first, like the brick is dying or a wire is bad.

Looks like this?

Or the cord to the wall.
It looks similar, I'll check it.

Does the Prisma provide any daily, detail therapy graphs?

How do you know it's turning off, are you waking up to a powered off machine, or do you have trace reports showing as much?

If you have reports showing the power off, can you post them?

Although you don't believe it's the outlet, you wouldn't be the first to encounter intermittent problems because of an outlet, or electrical brownout.
  • Check the power cables into the CPAP, power brick and outlet are all seated properly and tight.
  • Try a different power outlet (consider running an extension cord)
  • Plug a power sensitive device into the same outlet. To see if it is powered down, but as suggested alarm clocks or other devices may be less sensitive to a brief interruption or under voltage. For example, upon a power interruption, Resmed's will resume therapy when power is restored.
But, if it's new, a warranty replacement, should be a consideration.
Sadly the Prisma is not compatible with OSCAR, and on the machne itself I cannot see any detailed graphs.
I wake up to a powered off machine yes.
I'll check and try the things you suggested, thank you!

If nothing is wrong with the power, cables, wires etc, I'll send it in for repair. Well, or if there is something wrong wth it, then too ofc.

Lowenstein's Prisma ST program gives full charts and details. You may be able to get it from your supplier, otherwise it's available from Apnea Board. You need to be a logged-in member of AB to access it:

* Download Oscar
* Oscar help
* An alternative to Oscar - try SleepHQ

I have no medical training or qualifications. Take my advice for what it's worth.

ftr - some electrical devices may be more prone (sensitive) to a power dip than others.
I second that. Some devices are more finicky than others. I'd start by getting a small UPS like this. They're dirt cheap now. A trip to a local electronics store is probably quicker than the hassle of replacing the CPAP machine under warranty.
