Thanks to all for taking the time to respond. My original sleep study was 59 AHI and while it is better, I have never scored below mid 4.0 AHI. I did notice a great improvement even at an AHI around 10 [average before surgery]. I obviously was battling poor heart performance but it still was like the previous 75 years- I was able to do what I needed to do and never considered going to a Dr. except for yearly extensions of my drugs. I honestly had no need for Drs and, why hang out with them? I understand that I still have sleep apnea and need treatment and I am resigned to living with cpap therapy- it is not that terrible, all things considered. I went thru army basic training in Mississippi in the summer while Viet Nam was on everyone's minds, they changed my basic understanding about what was possible and what was not. Not pleasant but time well spent in my life experience.

In any case, I am still healing and still searching for my old memory and synapse connections- meanwhile I am often confused but always interested in whatever is happening to me.
