Anyone use ResMed S10/11 with access to full data?

Post by Muse-Inc » Sun May 28, 2023 1:51 am

Escape, S8, and two S9s died (extended hours), using third S9 with 20,000+ hours and no backup... yikes 😳. Anyone used/using either of the more current models that enable display of the full data like my S9 shows daily? My NP said ResMed added something that will enable me to get the full data (I track trends). Thanks in advance for any help.

Good to hear from you, Muse-Inc. Not so happy about the stroke, but glad you're getting better.

Palerider means OSCAR (not a person of that name). That the Open Source program we all use nowadays to track everythig relevant for our therapy.
Much more than what you can find on the screen of either the S9, AS10 or As11.

There's an option in the clinician's menu to let you see more or less info on the screen, but trends can be better tracked and better undestoon with OSCAR.

Read the very top post, from Pugsy, it contains info about downloading OSCAR, etc.

Thanks, good to be alive & good to be able to post again and thanks too for the welcome back. I'LL read that Pugsy post. But I still need a backup APAP.

My S9 (don't remember how many hours - but it was some 7 years in use) is the backup to my AS10.
If you get an AS10,get the "For Her" version, since it has a regular algorithm, and a slightle different on, "For Her".

All the AS11's have both algorithm there no longer "for her" in the AS11 line.

You want an Autoset, not an Elite, and certainly NOT the Escape or plain "CPAP".
Only Autosets will collect the relevant data.

Not quite right - the Elite is a full data machine. However it is a fixed pressure device - the autoset is preferable as it provides variable pressure as needed.
* Download Oscar
* Oscar help
* An alternative to Oscar - try SleepHQ

I HAD an Elite--yes, it does collect data, but the Autoset collects MORE data.
I was stuck with an Elite for my first machine, and suffered with aerophagia for 9 months
until I switched to my first Autoset. Single pressure is torture for me.

What does/did the AutoSet collect in terms of data that the Elite did/does not collect or report?
Which model? S8, S9 or whatever?

S9--pressure, because the pressure is always the same, which caused my aerophagia.
I was incorrectly "titrated" and my machine was set at 14 cm, which was too high.
Now, my 95% pressures are consistently around 11 with an Autoset.

Can you show me a S9 Elite report that doesn't show pressure?

The S9 mode Elite did/does indeed show pressure. Now there's not a lot to show since it is a fixed pressure only machine but it still shows that fixed pressure.

I got RID of the elite--about ten years ago!
I donated it to the free clinic.

The Elite and Autoset are both full data, collecting the same amount of data.

The Autoset just adds the auto responding feature, which to me is a must have.

A total must have for me.
Like Pugsy, I find jason's advice re auto cpap unhelpful, to be kind.
