What would cause these flow limits?

Post by DaveC » Fri May 26, 2023 8:48 pm

I've been using pap therapy for around 16 months. I've always used one FFM or another because I can't seem to keep my big mouth shut. About 4 weeks ago I switched to mouth taping and the ResMed N30i. Life has been good...until last night. I've never had high flow limits. They've always ranged from 0.00 to maybe 0.10. Occasionally they might hit between 0.10 and 0.20 but that's a high as they go. Last night I managed 0.51 and I don't know why.
I was going to post some OSCAR screenshots but it appears the board limit has been reached.

Hey Dave, if you'll upload your screenshots to a site like https://imgur.com you'll be able to include the link in your post.

Here is an example https://imgur.com/a/VAm1pgj

EDIT: Pugsy informed me that my format is incorrect; however, uploading to imgur is the correct process. Just follow the sticky! :D

I just saw the sticky about removing old attachments right before I came back here and saw Pugsy was leading me to it anyway. :D
I haven't been here in a while. It might take me a minute to catch up.

Why do you cut off the AHI reading at the top of the left hand panel?

In the second graph, notice the FLs increase and the machine raises the pressure in response. The machine reaches the set maximum pressure of 20.0 and can go no higher. At higher pressure, it might have cleared up the FLs.

Why did you need so much pressure at this time of night? It could be you had been sleeping on your sides and/or stomach and rolled to your back at this time. Typically, pressure requirements are higher on the back.
