Her's the test (if you are so inclined) Can be done anytime. Do blocks of 40 breaths on the machine, turn it off and record Spontaneous Trigger and Cycle.

1. 40 breaths that you know you initiate and terminate.
2. 20 breaths that you know you initiate and terminate F/B 20 breaths that you let the machine initiate and terminate the breath.
3. 20 breaths that you know you initiate and terminate F/B 20 breaths that you let the machine initiate and you terminate the breath.
4. 20 breaths that you know you initiate and terminate F/B 20 breaths that you initiate and let the machine terminate the breath.

I think this should work, if anybody has suggestions please contribute.
I'll definitely try this. What is F/B, full breaths?

I'm always searching for good coffee. I even grind my own., tastes better than the pre-ground.
What kind of machine(s) do you use? I have Moka and French Press, although admit to speed brew with Keurig and Starbucks pods.

This may be a stupid question and I apologize in advance if it is, but should I have the SD card in for this test?

Don't need it, makes no difference, although may be of interest to see in graphs.

The period ~0650 to 0730 is new stuff. That's a LOT of air moving. Big leaks but I think the data is valid and you were asleep. Any chance you might know what your body position could have been?

Yes, I will make sure the SD card is in. I like graphs :)

I'm not really sure on my sleep position. I noticed yesterday that I tend to start out on my back when I first go to sleep. Then I usually at some point turn onto my left side, facing away from my husband. But I don't know if I end up on my back again at any point. I just can't remember.

(On the coffee matter, I have a little grinder and a very simple drip coffee maker. I have been wanting something a little more high brow but can't decide which one to buy.)

Good post over there. Let's see if they can figure out what I'm trying to do.

ROFL

Well, I just did the test, but I must have done it wrong because all the Trigger and Cycle numbers for each portion are 100%. That can't be right due to what my OSCAR charts are showing during my sleep? When reviewing those numbers they are usually in the 90s.

I was sitting up doing the first few parts and then thought maybe if I lie down it would make a difference but it did not.

It was hard to do what you asked because the mask air "contractions"? The "in and out pulses"? happen quite dead on to my normal breathing rhythm. AT LEAST WHEN I'M AWAKE. Not sure about when I'm asleep.

I'm wondering if the FLOW RATE has anything to do with my INSPIRATION TIME, EXPIRATION TIME, AND RESPIRATION RATE WHILE ASLEEP?

(Oh, I was about to post a zoom but noticed the Hq does offer ADVANCED CHART option for viewing).

Yeah there should have been a bunch. Can you load them up on SleepHQ?

I think the "VAPS" is messing it up.

It certainly isn't the "i".

S/T should work tho.

Maybe probably.

OK each block should have 40 breaths. It looks like there are only 20 breaths, all spontaneous, with no second set having the machine perform one or two functions.

Does this mean something is wrong with the machine?

I think I am not explaining it clearly.

Plan B:

Do blocks of 40 breaths on the machine, turn it off and record Spontaneous Trigger and Cycle.

1. 40 breaths that you let the machine initiate and terminate the breath. Do not voluntarily inhale or exhale whatsoever.
2. 40 breaths that you let the machine initiate and you terminate the breath. Do not voluntarily inhale but actively begin exhale less that 2 seconds after the inhalation starts.
4. 40 breaths that you initiate and let the machine terminate the breath. Inhale slowly until the machine decides to terminate the breath.

Specifically, we're looking to see if 20 or 40 breaths appear in each block. Is it a coincidence that in the 20 breath rule, 20 breaths are missing?

The SleepHQ graph is perfect tho.
