I tell ya, you got a little over an hour at the end of the night that is totally Log Sleep!
I know, right! :D

Now if we can just figure out how to get the majority of the rest of my sleep that way I'd be a very happy camper.
Any help greatly appreciated! NOT GIVING UP AGAIN

Well, I don't think it's a random event.

That's about the time the effect of all those medications is wearing off.

Speaking of which, what time of the day do you take all that stuff?

LOL, I was just going to post the following:

Unfortunately, I am very bad about taking my meds consistently. There have been long periods of time I didn't take them at all, much to the dismay of my doctors. When I am med compliant, I take some in the morning and others before bed. For instance, last night I went to bed about midnight so I took my Abilify, Busp., and my Dival. (Abbreviations).

But shouldn't those meds stay active in my body for more than 5 hours? Also, I just had my Dival. decreased from two per day to one per day to take at night due to increased tremor in my left hand at times.
Any help greatly appreciated! NOT GIVING UP AGAIN

I could write up a summary and treatment plan except

I'M NOT THE ONE TAKING THESE THINGS!! YOU ARE!!

So your homework assignment is:

Determine the half-life of each drug (BFS coming);
Find out the best time to take them;
See if insomnia and/or sleep disruption is a side effect; and
Determine drug interactions (there's apps for this).
Freeze this moment a little bit longer.
Make each sensation a little bit stronger.
Experience slips away.

(CROSS POSTED)

Just got off the phone with the pharmacist.

OUTCOME: Every single medication I am on has the side effect of insomnia! (So my med issue is compounded).

"Insomnia is a common sleep disorder. With insomnia, you may have trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, or getting good quality sleep. This happens even if you have the time and the right environment to sleep well. Insomnia can get in the way of your daily activities and may make you feel sleepy during the day."

The worst culprit is my newest medication, the Aripiprazole (Abilify). It has an 18% report of insomnia, versus 1% to 5.3% report of insomnia of my other meds. It also has the highest 1/2 life, 75 hours!

The pharmacist also mentioned serotonin when we were discussing interactions. She said it is listed as low level with my drugs but, hey...

Here is a link about serotonin and sleep wake cycles from the NIH:

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1062237 ... %20sleep).
I WILL be talking to my psych dr office today.

I hope this portion on meds and insomnia helps others on this board with possible issues and their sleep quality.

Actually, everybody here knew that already.

Well, as a new member, I am very thankful that y'all have pointed me in a direction that may be VERY helpful. I wasn't always on meds, so I really need to figure out how to be on necessary medications while also on sleep therapy.

Every single medication I am on has the side effect of insomnia! (So my med issue is compounded).
And based on the NPSG 11/2019, you already had significant sleep disruption. So your compundment is compounded.
The worst culprit is my newest medication, the Aripiprazole (Abilify). ...It also has the highest 1/2 life, 75 hours!
I told you there'd be a BFS!

Morning Rubicon. True that!

Ummm, what is a BFS? (I really need a dictionary of the acronyms :)

I spoke to my psych doctor's office after the call with the pharmacist. I can stop the Abilify (the highest insomnia culprit.) I did not take it last night. I did not take any of my meds close to bedtime. I was told I could take the Olanzapine I had once been prescribed but I reminded them that that drug made me feel HORRIBLE in the mornings and I told them I threw it out.

I have OSCAR chart to post and load into Hq. I forgot, wasn't there a particular order of graphs I am supposed to post here other than the FLOW RATE, MASK PRESSURE, LEAK, TIDAL VOLUME ?
Any help greatly appreciated! NOT GIVING UP AGAIN

That's ok, it's early. :D

I did just look up withdrawal symptoms though and Google says that it takes 1-4 weeks for symptoms to go away. I only stopped it last night after taking it for a few weeks. So who knows at this point
