The baby wipe (or the costly cpap wipe) is harmless; but detergent, hot water,
soaking, and scrubbing softened my pillows/cushions and left a white film.

I am reminded of the old story of the sailor who got caught taking a break after having painted the ship's deck. The sailor explained to the officer that he was just giving the paint a few minutes to dry so that he could start scrubbing it.
The people who confuse "entomology" and "etymology" really bug me beyond words.
