Any input on my first Oscar data would greatly appreciated!

Post by bmjnyc » Sun Mar 26, 2023 7:12 am

Hello, I managed to figure out OSCAR yesterday. I've been on CPAP for 7 weeks now and having a hard time with it. Feel much more exhausted and sleepy than I did before starting cpap.

After my sleep test I was handed a Resmed 11 and a P30i nasal mask with very little direction about what to expect or even on how to use it and sent home. I was not even told that I needed to keep my mouth shut with a nasal mask. I discovered that myself online some days later. I’ve quickly realized that I am going to have to manage this myself as my sleep clinic has not been very helpful.

I’m 51, 6’2, 176 lbs and my sleep test revealed 18 AHI

My cpap is set to 7-12

Last night was the best night of sleep I’ve had yet. I slept through most of the night and was able to mitigate any small leaks quickly and without it waking me up to much thanks to some of the mask fitting tips I’ve received from this board. I woke up around 5 am and my cpap reported that my mask had a good seal through the night, However I went back ti sleep for an hour or so and when I woke up the cpap reported a bad seal.

I've also started a sleep journal as was recommended. Here is a link to my Oscar data. Hopefully I did everything correctly! Any input on my Oscar data would greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Yes I posted twice. Once to reply the folks who responded to my first post and I also posted on the general board in the hopes of getting some input from other members. Is this a problem? Thanks!

For some people...yep...it will be a problem.
I suggest you stick to one main thread for now with any questions, problems or whatever.
Most forum members don't like duplicate threads or multiple threads because it can make for a more time consuming response because of the need to jump around to multiple threads to get the whole history.
Most forum members won't do it and we sure can't be expected to remember what you wrote yesterday or whenever.
