from AS10 to F&P Icon

Post by Marcusstephen » Sat Mar 25, 2023 12:15 am

I’m using an F&P icon auto at the moment with the same settings that i had on the AS10 except for EPR. I think senseawake is the F&P equivalent. My ahi has increased from below 1 to the hi 2’s. Anyone have any idea why this might be happening ?
i’m including a screenshot from Oscar for last night
thank you

----> because you have a different machine with a different algorithm. It responds differently to your breathing. (However, making conclusions from one night of data is risky.)

Sensawake and EPR are not the same features. ResMed EPR drops the pressure on each exhale. F&P Sensawake does not. It drops the pressure to your minimum when the algorithm thinks you awaken.

What did your pressure line look like when you were using the ResMed machine? Which EPR setting were your using?

Notice with the F&P machine that much of the pressure line is perfectly flat at 10.0. It makes me wonder if Sensawake is preventing the machine from responding properly. Check what the pressure line looked like with your ResMed machine.

thanks 🙏
The epr setting was 2 on the AS10.
I tried not using senseawake and the therapy felt very uncomfortable so i turned senseawake back on in the middle of the night.
It seems F&P don’t have EPR unfortunately.
Here’s a link to the AS10

maybe the therapy is better with the AS10

" . . . maybe the therapy is better with the AS10."
Maybe.
I'd lay money on it.
