Ramp Time?

Post by JeffL » Thu Mar 23, 2023 5:14 pm

I downloaded the data from my AS11 into ResScan today.

ResScan is showing a ramp time of 20 minutes. That came as a surprise to me since I was sure I had Ramp Time set to OFF. I checked the machine and it does show Ramp Time Off via both the Home and Clinical settings.

Any ideas?

I wonder if "no ramp off" is actually meaning "no ramp" setting is off.
Try going into the setup menu and change the "no ramp" to "on" and see if that turns on the "no ramp" part of the setting choice.

Respironics used to have a IMHO screwy setting choice when it came to the auto off feature.
Auto off actually had to be set to "on" for the auto off part of things to turn the machine off when mask was removed.

Sorry about that. In my original post I wrote "No Ramp Time", then I realized it was actually called "Ramp Time Off". I messed up editing the post and I've corrected again (I hope).

The bottom line is my AS11 is set to have the Ramp Time Off. That is what it shows on the machine's advance Home and Clinical menu (which are two views to the same setting), but the ResScan statistics report shows a 20 minute Ramp Time.

P.S. In my over 10 years of treatment, I've never turned Ramp Time on, so I don't know what the pressure feels like as it ramps up. So I can't say with certainty what the machine is actually doing.

Change the ramp time to the smallest increment allowed.--(a minute?)
In case somebody is setting it remotely, turn airplane mode to on.
