FOT is 4 times a second, and it's just a half cm up and half cm down pressure vibration.
Thanks

I dont think???? thats it. I tried to pay more attention this morning and the collapse was once every few seconds, then no collapse for a little more time (a handful of breaths) then it started again for a handful of seconds, then stopped for another of seconds, then I took my mask off.

I noticed the sensation of collapsing is very similar to the way it collapsing when you turn off the machine while still wearing the head gear/mask

In any event, found my card reader but it has a usb c type plug and my current computer doesnt. Ordered a C to B dongle and it should be here tomorrow. Will pull the data when it gets here, them post the screen shots of the dump.

thanks again, and have a gr8 one until then

Sreiter, do you have EPR turned on? I can recall people complaining of the mask "pulsing" between inhale and exhale. The problem went away when EPR was turned off and they just received a constant pressure.
I have no idea :( - I'll have to ask my doc.

thanks for bringing it to my attention

The real question then would be "does it drop pressure every time you exhale"?

But then, why would it happen only sometimes?

Sounds like a reasonable assumption it's happening every breath.
Its doesnt happen every breath

I'm seriously impressed with everyones knowledge. Even just working the problem, even if the "educated guesses" that may be off, the fact that people are working through it is amazing to see

thanks you all for your willingness to help out

Because he has it set to Ramp Off, so when he first fires up it's not there, but when he wakes up in the middle of the night, it is?
I dont think it happens when I first go to sleep. I've tried shutting te cpap off for a few second or unplugging the hose from the mask to see if equaling the pressure in the mask might be the issue with limited success.
Ramp is on

EPR is a "comfort" feature - you should be able to adjust it without reference to your doctor. However if your machine is set to Essentials On, then you won't see the EPR control except via the clinical menu. Essentials should be set to Plus. I suggest you get hold of the clinical manual from Apnea Board and read up everything that is possible.

No apneac ever got optimal treatment by relying on the doctor.

At this stage we're all more-or-less guessing. Are you able to make a brief video of what's happening so we can see it in action?

Maybe???? I'd have to grab my phone when it wakes me up. Great Idea, I thought about that myself

More important(ly), EPR is off.

You might want to include Mask Pressure in your images and note where the phenomenon occurs.

I'd recommend using that New Platform that's out there but be aware it's buggy (like reporting critically low oxygen levels when in fact they're normal).
Freeze this moment a little bit longer.
Make each sensation a little bit stronger.
Experience slips away.

EPR is off, but mask was set to nasal, not full face. I'll see if that makes a diff.

Also, its set to CPAP not autoset.

I'm pretty new to oscar, where can i find mask pressure?

What "new platform" ? you can message me if its against the rules to post such things on the open forum

You can find the mask pressure in the chart selector at the bottom right of the screen.
http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/images/7 ... screen.png

The "other platform" is SleepHQ, which is a web-based program somewhat similar to Oscar. The advantage of SleepHQ is that you can create and post a link to your data so that people can zoom right in and have a look in detail. Link is in my sig below. One downside of SleepHQ is that mask pressure is not displayed. But if you're using fixed pressure with EPR turned off, that's not relevant anyway.

Doctors are trained to treat the patient--not deal with the devices,
which are updated frequently--and every model is different.
You need a clinical technician for that. Duh!
Since there are none available, we amateurs do the best we can-
-because we HAVE TO.
