I use a Full Face mask (AirFit F20i) and I still experience very bad dry mouth. Looking for a solution. Are you all using the tape with nasal masks … or can you also use tape with a full face mask?
I use tape under my F30i. It's a great system. https://www.amazon.com/Adhesive-Snoring ... 08SGGK82Z/
I clicked on your link and its not found. Can you tell me the product name?

Are you using tape to tape your mouth closed or to have the pillows adhere to your face?

I got the cover-roll tape and have used it for 3-4 nights, it's fantastic! It has grids printed on the backing and I found I could remove one grid lengthwise and it is plenty wide enough. It has completely eliminated the parched, dry-mouth issue.

I may try other products when I run out of the two rolls I bought, but so far it has not bothered me, I will have to see if repeated use changes my mind. Great stuff!

Yes, that link is broken, but the hot new thing lately has been Somnifix, would not be surprised if that was it. Crazy expensive, though, although LankyLefty keeps the backing and says he gets two nights out of one strip.

I have not tried this, but this Dr. Johnes branded Somnifix-similar is less than half the price per strip. Has anyone tried these?

Looks interesting, and I could not figure out why the Somnifix was so expensive. Maybe they just needed some product competition?

Hmmm. Found this article on mouth-specific tapes for sleeping. I'm just anal enough to maybe buy all of them and post a comprehensive review. :D

Here is one example ----> https://www.amazon.com/Advanced-Breathi ... matic_sspa

Here are some more brands of the x-shaped tape - https://www.amazon.com/s?k=mouth+tape+f ... doa-p_2_13 All x-shaped brands are similar.

The x-shaped tape keeps my mouth from opening and breaking the mask seal. It still allows some air to escape on either side of my lips. This is OK because the full face mask maintains the therapeutic pressure. Most of the night, my lips stay closed. It would seem they tend to open in REM sleep.

If you are using a nasal-only interface, the x-tape might not work well for you.

Thank you for the clarification, and links. I thought you might have been talking about a potential fix for a mask leak I've read some users wrote about when using a F30/F30i. They complain of a bad seal around their nose.

Glad the "X" worjs for you. Maybe it was the brand, but it didnt work for me. I got the brand from one of the threads here. I also took a recommendation from a board member for silicone medical tape which great. Caveat: I did wake up startled 1x with the feeling of being suffocated, ripping my mask off and the tape, but that was when my nose was totally stuffed from the machine.

I'm new to CPAP. It's been 8 weeks. It has been challenging getting a good nights sleep. I've been struggling with dry mouth and a very bad sore throats most nights. OSACR shows lot's off leaks so my DR and some folks on this board recommended tape. I used tape, Cover-Roll, for the first time last and still woke up with a terribly dry mouth and horrible sore throat. The tape was on tight, no leaks. I'm going to try again tonight, hopefully thing will be better.

Wondering if I should up the humidity with mouth tape on?

Search for "sleep strips" on Amazon. Look for the X-shaped strips. I used several brands - they all work the same.
