For those of you that end up going to the bathroom several times a night, what is your unhooking procedure?
Do you remove your mask from your face/head? Do you just unhook the hose from your mask and darth Vader it to the toilet?
You want to get the "least awake" as possible. Turning on lights or having to fiddle with putting the mask back on makes a person "more awake".
My mask has a quick disconnect for the hose. I disconnect, leave the mask on, place the end of the hose on the side of the pillow where it can be easily found in the dark, and trek to the toilet in the dark. I aim my phone's home screen down at the floor to get enough light to avoid tripping.
Which mask are you using?

I am alternating between the Dreamwear and the P30.
The P30 is easy to disconnect tube and leave mask on. It’s got that easy disconnect. The Dreamwear not so much. I’m using both frames with pillows at present. Very happy. Got the nasal cushions for both ready to try next
I really like the vents being at the top of my head.

Respironics designed a quick and easy disconnect that is neither.

I like the way the Dreamwear headgear fits but the ease with which the P30 disconnects is making this a tight duel for the winner.

Hmmm…interesting concept. I have one from my knee surgery last summer. Thanks!

I also don't need to unhook. I have an empty, large plastic cat litter box that I keep by the bed. When it gets full, my wife takes it out and recycles the nitrogen from its contents into her garden compost bin.

I REALLY hope that you're joking because that's definitely disgusting, unless of course, you're immobile?

For centuries, humans used chamber pots.

I turn my machine off and take my mask all the way off. But my mask is pretty easy to get on and off. I have BPH, so a pretty good night for me is only getting up twice.

Nope, not immobile, and nothing disgusting about it. By the time the compost pile (mainly food scraps, leaves, grass clippings, fireplace ash, etc.) cooks down into rich, organic compost, the urine will be long gone, with only the essential nitrogen remaining. A lot less disgusting than the glyphosate-infused crap that most people buy at the supermarket produce section and actually put it into their mouths.
