That’s a great idea with the P10, I’ll try that tomorrow. I’ve had all the issues mentioned on this thread.

Interesting set up you've got there. I'm not sure how that resolves the issue with the ring peeling off the halo however. Either way I'm glad it's working for you!

I've tried and tried and tried with the Eclipse and while I love it I just can't get it to work for me. I went a full month with no issues but now I just can't get it to work anymore. The adhesive on the halo only lasts for about 4 hours. It does not appear to be an issue with the ring peeling off but rather the adhesive just loosening around my nose. Sometimes its the top, sometimes its the bottom, but I just can't get a good seal for the entire night. I even tried using Skin Tac liquid adhesive on my nose prior to applying the halo and that didn't work either.

I may try again after March when Stuart advised the issue with the ring coming off will be resolved. That's not the issue I'm having but maybe I'll have better luck after they make those improvements.

Thank you, mets123, and Zonker.
My problem is similar to Corgan's - and I too have taken a break from trying the Eclipse.

@mets123:
I have a P10, and use it. The reason I tried the Bleep and the Eclipse was to free my face from the P10 straps and strap marks.

If you look at images 2 and 3 on page 4 of the P10 manual you can see the firm plastic pieces that are firmly attached to the bottom part of the P10 frame.

You said you
attach the two metal connectors on the frame to a p10 pillow then attach it to the p10 frame
What does the modification you suggest achieve for you?

Why put magnets on the P10?

I found that with the frame that came with the eclipse, I had a difficult time attaching the magnet to the halos. With the p10 setup you have much more play with moving around the magnet to attach to the halos. It’s more stretchy than the original hose. I hope I am explaining it well.

But why add magnets to a P10?

And what did you do about the P10 straps?

I like the idea of the eclipse better than using the p10. With the eclipse I have no headgear and nothing inserted in my nose. I removed the headgear from the p10 and cut the plastic sides from the p10 that the headgear previously was attached to.

If you do find something that helps fix the adhesive issue please let me know. I've gone back to my trusty P30i in the interim but I do miss the nights of having the Eclipse system working. I am not sure what changed. My first 30 days were perfect but now I just can't last more than 4 hours without waking up to a leak that I just can't get sealed back up.

Just a heads-up, I have been using the p10/eclipse hack and have been getting AHI of .1,.1 and zero past three days with no leaks. Anyone else try it? I also feel it’s dead silent compared to eclipse mask and much more comfortable on the nose.

I didn't try the hack but I do think it is an interesting hack and whatever works for someone.....that's what is important.

The reason I didn't try the hack....the Eclipse is dead silent (at least for me) and I don't have a problem with any noise to try to fix.
Plus I am into my 4th box of halos and I have only had 2 of the metal rings come loose...or rather partly loose from the adhesive.

I will look around and see if I have an old P10 that I want to maybe do the surgery to and give it a try just for grins.
I can't get a feel for the "bulk" from just the image and I don't know if the hack is going to create a feeling of "bulkiness" that I might find annoying...or not.

I do admit that for me....it's hard to get excited about a fix for a problem that I am just not experiencing myself.
The Eclipse is still totally silent for me (actually maybe a little more silent than the P10 if that is possible) and I really haven't had enormous problems with the metal rings becoming unstuck from the adhesive either.

Congratulations on coming up with something that is a workable solution for you.

I've started using it with my AirMini when I travel. I haven't really noticed a difference in my AHI, and of course the AirMini is louder than my home machine so I can't speak to the noise. I don't have a regular P10 mask to try it at home.

Pugsy, for me the eclipse mask is not very comfortable compared to my setup using the p10 pillow. When I use the eclipse mask I can hear myself inhaling, it’s not that bad but with the p10 it’s totally silent.
Everyone is different and that’s why it’s good to experiment.
