Wedge pillow, sliding down

Post by BradleyBuck1984 » Fri Jan 27, 2023 4:34 am

Hello,

I use a large wedge pillow to sleep upright on my back because I find I breathe better with CPAP in this position, but it's become a constant problem that partway through the night I'll slide down and the pillow will bend my neck, making it harder to breathe. I wake up in this position at some point every night and I will reposition myself, but it will often happen again. I sleep with two small pillows under my legs, but they slide as well. Does anyone have any ideas about how I can avoid this? Thanks.

Wear a soft foam cervical collar.

Always best to raise the head of the bed with bricks or blocks vs a wedge.

You could try sewing up a poor man's adjustable bed.
1. Take a bed sheet and fold over one end to form a pocket
2. Sewing ensues
3. Insert pillows into the pocket
4. Place the contraption on the bed and adjust so the pillows is between the knee and the buttocks
5. Tuck the other end under the wedge and mattress so the mattress weight provides anchoring
6. Sleep
7. Profit

You can use bed risers instead. They usually come in a set of 4. Use two to put under the head of the bed frame.

Perhaps use a 'square' pillow- not as comfy but functional.

I love this idea. I would never have thought of that.
