Still fatigued using CPAP

Post by mroyle » Thu Jan 26, 2023 10:29 am

Have been using CPAP for several years and tolerate it well. However, after 10-11 hours sleep per night I still am fatigued during the day with a constant headache and feeling of lethargy. I take a necesary 1 hour nap each afternoon and feel somewhat better afterwards. My best times are in the evening. I dont feel particularly tired when I go to bed at 11:00 but do so to maintain regularity, Get up 2-4 times per night to go to the bathroom. Any others with same experience and potential solutions. Thanks- Mike

Do you take any medications of any kind? If so, what?

More information about your therapy is needed....machine make and model, mode, AHI, etc.

How old are you? Any chance that the nocturia is age and gender related as in related to prostate? Or have to go pee frequently during the day as well?

Are your pressures optimal? I noticed once my therapy was actually working I woke up much less. I used to wake up 6 times almost every night and now it’s 1 or 2. I also decreased my caffeine intake substantially and don’t eat or drink Before bed. Took a while to change all these habits but it definitely is worth it.

Also whenever I sleep over 8 hours I feel worse. For me my range is between 7-8 hours is best. 6 or less or 8+ hours always makes me feel worse.
