The new Air Curve 10s we got last month not only had SD card slots, they had SD cards in them.
Resmed doesn't *DO* different hardware models. If you crack open a S9 escape and a S9 ASV, or ST-A, or VPAP Tx (the lowest to highest models), internally, they are all *exactly* the same hardware.StuUnderPressure wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 2:30 pmMy concern was that the other model of the AirCurve 10 VAuto (Not the card-to-cloud model) did Not have an SD Card Slot.
Well, they may have been mistaken or simply never looked to see that there is a card slot. I have a Aircurve 10 VAuto, that has a 3g cell modem in it, (which doesn't work anymore) and a generic SD card that I popped into it.
It's likely that they don't work anymore, just like mine doesn't.StuUnderPressure wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 2:30 pmIf that model DOES have an SD Card slot, that may be the 1 to get - since the cellular connection keeps me from having to bring my SD card to DME.
Well that's my first.StuUnderPressure wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 8:10 pm

the AirCurve 10 Card-to-Cloud does not have a cellular communication modem but instead includes an SD card for you to monitor your sleep apnea therapy data, gather compliance reports, and receive therapy support from your doctor.

But it clearly states that it comes with a SD card which means that it should also have a SD card slot or the SD card would be useless.

Once upon a time all Resmed AirSense and AirCurve machines had both a cellular modem and a card slot. Then came the great plague and suddenly there was a world-wide shortage of semiconductors as well as all sorts of supply chain problems. Various companies reacted to this situation in various ways - many car companies for example left out features like high end audio. Resmed found themselves unable to procure all the modem chips they needed so decided to leave the modem out of some machines. These non-modem machines are being promoted as "card-to-cloud" as if this was some great innovation.StuUnderPressure wrote:Not really sure why ResMed has 2 models of this machine.
The cheapest.... I don't need anything to phone home and transmit data. No one cares in my case about my reports or usage.StuUnderPressure wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 9:02 pmAssuming they both have an SD Card slot, which model would you prefer & why?
Ask yourself why there would be a machine that comes with a SD card but no slot....it's not logical.StuUnderPressure wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 9:02 pmBut the Question is whether the non card-to-cloud model has an SD card slot
I don't need the SD Card, just the slot
Same reason they make the AirSense 10 AutoSet in a card to cloud model as well as the one with the cellular modem installed....they are having trouble getting the electronics needed for the cellular modem that is needed for transmission of the data. Like everyone else they are having a parts supply shortage. Better to make a machine without the cellular modem and sell it than just sit by an twiddle their thumbs and not make anything and not sell anything.StuUnderPressure wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 9:02 pmNot really sure why ResMed has 2 models of this machine.
Don't hold your breath as there been only one OTA update in the history of ResMed AirSense/AirSense line.StuUnderPressure wrote: ↑Fri Apr 28, 2023 4:36 pmAt least I might get some software updates with that model.
