Maybe something to consider. This looked exactly like my Oscar charts and I didn't realize the flow restrictions were actually showing the same pattern almost every night based on timing. I hadn't ever heard this before until seeing this short video.

The published paper on decrease in BMR wasn't to reference REM but other side effects of CPAP I listed. There was a series of investigations on why BMI increased after CPAP. Many possibilities were explored during this time frame trying to explain why CPAP caused weight gain in so many. Decreased BMR if sustained long-term could be just one issue. It wasn't "publish or perish" issue. It is clear that putting an obese person on CPAP alone will not help weight loss and in fact, they gain weight. Holistic approach is necessary to reap any be benefits of CPAP for quality of life. Must look at all areas of life (diet, exercise, social, marital and work environments).

Is this how you normally behave when asked to support your claims?
