A vinegar soak is fine, too, as
Some here use vodka

Where I come from, moonshine is reverentially reserved for more direct medicinal purposes, not wasted on the cleaning of equipment.

Philips is for cleaning--Absolut for sipping.
Even so, I respect this Philips more than the stinky guys.

I certainly agree with your wisdom, just sayin.

I am tempted to just buy a new water chamber to be sure I'm not exposing myself to something.
If it helps you sleep better, they only cost about $30 from our host, cpap.com, and certain other online mega-retailers. In fact, it's good to have a spare in case it jumps off the table and subsequently starts to leak.

Got to agree with Vinnie--a new tank is a shiny, but affordable treat.
If it helps you sleep, so be it.

Hey guys! Thanks for the great advice. I ended up grabbing the dishwasher version on sale and saving this one (non-dishwasher) as backup since cpap.com was having a sale.

I understand that the parts are in all likelihood fine, but also realized I don't really want to be thinking about this as I try to fall asleep.

And since sleep is the point, sounds like you chose wisely! :)
