The silicone cushions do not connect to each other. The one on the tank touches the machine, and the one on the machine touches the tank.
There is no silicon on a ResMed water chamber other than the one between the upper and lower chambers. There is only connecting silicon on the CPAP machine.
Why do you post about things you know nothing about?

Read the post again, then comment. A correction to the original post and apology has been made without covering up the original error.

I read the post, you COULD have gone back and posted a correction to your misleading and wrong post.

The question stands: Why do you post about things you know nothing about?

What exactly is not a correction and apology below? The bold text is my addition with the correction to my original post to point it out in case you missed it. I cannot imagine anyone would read that and not realize I was in error. Rather than cover-up my mistakes, I choose to own them and give the correct information. You could have simply pointed out the error, but I realize you enjoy snarky rude responses, which in this case you are In error.

Apologies to the OP for this getting off-topic.

Note: Thanks to LynnInNJ for the correction that there is a silicon seal on the water chamber. Mea Culpa.

I never said you didn't admit to your error, I asked Why do you post about things you know nothing about?

You COULD go back and edit your incorrect post so that you don't mislead people (believe it or not, not everybody reads to find corrections to BS that they read), but you didn't, instead you decide to attack me rather than answering the simple question I originally asked.

and you still haven't answered, Why do you post about things you know nothing about?

You really are not self-aware at all. Please stop wasting everyone's time with your arguments when you are wrong.

Well, bless your little heart, I see what's going on, you're looking in the mirror and projecting your issues on everyone else!

Merry Christmas, I hope you get everything you deserve!

Others have pointed out that I'm arguing with an idiot, so I'm going to let you have the last word!

I've found that if I slide in the tank gently it sometimes doesn't work. I wouldn't say that I slam it in, but I slide it as far as goes, then firmly push it in the rest of the way.

So summing up things…

I post something that is entirely incorrect and then make the correction and apologize. You post a rather smarmy question I do not answer and reject my correction/apology as not meeting your desires. You then accuse me of attacking you, when what I did was point out the bad behavior, no personal attack at all. You then make yourself the victim and justify by saying “others” pointed out I am an idiot.

You take teaching moments and start a fire, then in time complain about being attacked when people push back. A simple search shows the repeated behaviors, which is sad as you have so much knowledge to offer others, but do not care how it is perceived. You just have to score points by treating others as no doubt you would not want to be treated.

It is all so unnecessary and accomplishes nothing.

Enough with the comments about comments that are totally off topic.
The point has been made by each....put it to rest now.

Any further comments that are off topic ....will be removed.

Thank you.

I have an Airsense 11.
I have found that if I attempt to insert the tank with the left side tilted downward, I sometime will not seat properly. In that case I will get a massive air leak.
I now make sure that the tank is being inserted relatively level, and that I make sure to firmly press it in to the machine.
If the OP has a defective tank, this will not help, but if the tank is not damaged, taking care to place it in this manner may solve the problem.

Stated another way, it's pretty easy to insert it improperly, and cause an air leak.
