I've not been on SleepHQ's message board, so I don't know what exactly is going on, though after reading this thread, I may look just to give a proper judgement. I'm not nosey but I like to know everything.
I'll save you the trouble. Here's the offensive exchange:

Prior to closing the thread where he claims FL is not a problem, bases his contention that FL is a problem:

You can see an increase in the flow lim which lines up with the increased resp rate during the same period which suggests loss of muscle tone associated with REM.

I have NFI when he draws MF circles and then says they're meaningless but if you actually measure what his claims of REM are it's 4.23 hours vs my estimate of 4 hours so AFAIC the MFAH can throw me out 9 days early IDGAFF.

Commendable restraint, mate.

I suspect the entire bases of the panic among the minions may have been my "let them live" and your "suicide by moderator." Without context, easily anxiety-inducing among the surfer set.

But hey, no such thing as bad press.

I'm too interested in *correct* stuff to be good at PR.

Yeah, may be best to leave that particular limitation off of your résumé, because I can't think of a good spin to put on that.

I don't think I'd ever trust anyone calling himself "The Professor Of PAP" (sheesh!). Let alone expect much of a discussion forum with "Like" buttons.

They are focused on the community aspect, and no doubt hoping to get investors eventually.
Now, just imagine being an investor, coming to their forum, counting "Likes" and discovering that "The Professor of PAP" who wants an investment has less "Likes" than other people. That would be extremely disruptive to the" community they're trying to build". Of course such threads have to be stopped before the damage becomes too obvious.

Commendable restraint, Rubicon!

Let's hope that the SleepHQ founders and staff get through the pride and remember that in order to be a good business, they have to be willingly open to accept both positive and negative criticism of their consumers and use those criticisms to approve their product.
Or else, the founders will founder in their own lack of integrity.

I must concede- you showed GREAT restraint.

I tried to look at the message board. It sent me to an oops report bug page. Type what you want there because you can’t get it to go anywhere when you click away. You can click out to some site that shows the site is up and running (clearly not the case).

I do like sleephq but am unlikely to pay for a beta app.

I hope Adam (and Nick) start considering there are those of us, newbies included, that effing HATE being brushed off by DMEs and healthcare professionals. We prefer being empowered annd prefer transparency.

So, you think I should put "excellent at lying with a straight face" on there instead?

Nah. That's only necessary if yer goin' into politics.

For the public relations gig, you'll only need the ability to smile while suggesting that unaddressed bugs are a positive indication of ongoing progress and that SWJ is an alternate spelling of R.E.M.

Really Jeff? 3 AM? Really?

I mean, I'm an ASPS so this is normal wake-up.

Hmmm. Does look strange when you see it in print...
