The Magic Uploader is a new device that will allow you to connect your CPAP machine directly to SleepHQ.
With the Magic Uploader, you will never need to manually upload your data again!
What's in it for you vs. what's in it for them?

Why not post this feedback under his youtube videos?

Because all they want to do is build a database to sell to CPAP, oximeter and interface manufacturers, sleep analysis watchmakers, pillow people, and anybody else who'll pay for it?

Feedback, given out of goodwill and trust about a bug in time zone presentation was waved off with irrelevant responses -- see above.
Today I watched one of Nicko's videos:
AirSense 11 Problems - Real Customer Reviews
He starts with reading out a whole lot of quotes of complaints by people about the AS11 being noisy, drying out far more quickly because the water reservoir is smaller.
He then goes on to show inserting it in the machine might be more difficult, and saying an imperfect seal may make it more noisy, and shows how to fix that.
And how to fill it without making it leak.
But here's what he doesn't do:
He does
not say that with an unproperly sealed humidifier, more air blows out, and of course the tub empties faster
He does
not say "that's strange guys, because both humidifiers contain the same amount of water - 380ml at their max according to ResMed".
Guess what he does say:
He says: I have got just the right thing for you to keep the AS11 from drying out: it's an automatic water pump, that contains 3 liters of water and will refill your tank automatically using sensors.
At which point I stopped watching; so I don't know if he mentions the price of this unnecessary marvel. Nor do I know if he talks about the noises this automatic filler does or does not make. I checked their site (takes less time than watching Nicko's marketing)- it costs (special price)
$249.
I have no doubt at all that he knows the tubs contain the same amount of water. But he would rather sell this pump from his affiliate. The affiliate is identified as such under the video.
why squeak if all you're likely to get is water?

Expensive water.
Evidence mounts, Jolly old "Uncle Nico" isn't your friend, he's here to take your money.

while not automatic, there have been posts here to MAKE YOUR OWN auxiliary tank FOR FREE.
as friend palerider points out, looks like someone is out to remove money from cpap users' wallets.

I guess my thought was that if instead of “great video, Nick!” If someone called him out on the problems with the program, they might actually get the attention they deserve or, they won’t sales much of their product, because I haven’t improved it.
when people don’t know better, they don’t question it.

Maybe someone should call him on his shit?
Seriously I read the comments under his videos and a great number are ooh ahh wtg nicko.
I don’t begrudge the man trying to make money. Never been a fan of using dishonesty to do it.
I do find value in quite a bit of what he has to say when he isn’t being an infomercial. (at times)

I put in my vote to not allow sleepyhq stuff here. Insurance, doctors and DME's already grab way to much money because we have a medical issue through no fault of our own. I have no desire to support another leech.
Oscar OTOH is given freely without expecting anything in return and I appreciate those who put their time and energy into it with out expecting anything or feeling like they are owed something. Kudos to them and to those here who help us to succeed. They are rockstars!

One good thing tho is that it allows a user to easily upload an entire night's data for the forum to review.
Doing the dropbox thing can be a little time consuming.

Doing the dropbox thing can be more than a little time consuming especially if working with someone who can't figure out how to copy/zip the SD card contents.
Doing Sleepyhq lets me just click on a link and pretty much zoom in on what I want....much less work for everyone. 90% of the time that's all I really need or want to do anyway.
I won't/can't disallow sleepyhq for various reasons. It's use has its time and place for some people and even if it was just one person I can't deny help just because uncle nicko wants to make a buck and someone else wants to spend their bucks.
Not my place in life to tell anyone what to do with their money.
Just state the facts...pros and cons and move on.
Correct misinformation politely and move on.

sort of how i feel, myself. we on the forum are quick to point out a scam like soclean. and rightfully so. not only is it sucking money out of folk who are unaware, it's also down right dangerous. THAT i can feel good about because it's doing a good turn.
but one way or another, a new user is going to bring (hell already HAS brought) in sleepyhq graphs and ask for help depending on those graphs. i wouldn't feel comfortable if the forum just shouted NO! at them while demanding oscar graphs instead.

I feel like it is going to cause problems in the long run but Pugsy has spoken and I respect her decision. I reserve the right to say "I told you so" later on when it does start to cause problems.

It won't be the software itself that causes a problem....it will be the snarky snide crap from people arguing about it that will be the disruptive influence and if they didn't argue about the software and start pissing contests it would just be something else.
People just seem to like to fight and argue....annoys the hell out of me.
I just want to scream "IT"S NOT WORTH FIGHTING OVER" but it wouldn't stop them. They just want to stir up trouble about anything and everything just to be stirring up shit.

In Kentucky when we would all sit in our rocking chairs on the front porch in the evening, eventually one of us would break the silence by saying, "Well, why don't we all just choose up sides and fight."
That was before Internet forums were invented to automate that entire process.
