Well, I'm truckin' on but still lying in bed awake way to much of the time. (I think I just need to get up & read to get sleepy so I'm not awake while my ResMed is racking up false events!!
* I made NO change to settings, and won't for the next 3-4 days.
* I'll turn the machine OFF and go read if I can't sleep . . . to see if I can reduce my up & down behavior somewhat.
* Discovered that the 16x20 Buckwheat pillow, improvised with extra hulls I had, seems to do the trick keeping me off my back. Time will tell. (Thanks Pugsy.)
* I removed session 1 from the stats because I was awake those 45 or so minutes (I remembered I had not taken my night meds, so got up & found a couple other things to do.)
* Re ALL EVENTS in Session 3 (3:18 - 4:45), I had written down that during that Session I MAY have been awake the whole time, or else in & out of sleep (although the pressure changes might be proving me wrong). While I was awake at 4:45, I got up for a potty break and turned the machine off at that time.
* I figure that I probably got a total of 7 hours sleep the 11+ hours I was in bed. I think I need to re-read robysue's post about sleep efficiency & getting up to read when I'm not tired enough to sleep.

I put the FL graph before the Leak Rate because I no longer have a leak problem, and want to see all of the FLs.
NOTE: I notice that where there are scant FLs are the times I was mostly awake.

PS - My Wellue O2 Ring arrived yesterday, so I'll read the manual and start using it soon.

Thanks to both robysue and Ozij !!
Actually I just figured it out how to drag & drop the graphs, but didn't get back to my post in time to delete it before someone answered!

Your quick responses to help someone is commendable!

.
Ozij, I have been quoting, but must have done it in another order because the person's name detail never appeared automatically . . . so now I know. Thx!
Click the quote marks above and to the right of the message you want to quote, and then type your message at the bottom.
Getting the quote blocks correct is more involved and trips people up at the start, so just type your message at the very bottom, after the last [/quote] quote block marker.

I have some "HOW TO..." questions that I haven't been able to find the answers for:
1. When I use "quotes" to post on my reply . . . HOW DO YOU get it to say
"[person's name] wrote" before the quote?? I always have to type the words myself instead of the person's name appearing automatically before the quote.
Thanks!
JoyD.
see that quotation mark in the upper right hand side? right next to the exclamation mark? hit that. it quotes everything from the post. then edit out what you don't want it to say.
btw, someone will come along with a much smoother and easier way...i'm just saying how *I* do it.

Nope, that's about the easiest way

(at least, that I know of).

I do this if I'm quoting one person, and most of their post.
However, if I'm quoting multiple people, or just a few lines from their post; from the
Post a Reply Dialog box:
- I scroll down to the message I'm going to quote
- Hi-lite just the portion of the message I want to quote (with right mouse button)
- Then click the Quote Icon on the top of the Post
The board software will then insert only the hi-lited text and complete the rest of the information in the quote tag.

I'm DELIGHTED with my OSCAR report last night for one BIG reason . . . because I only got up TWICE during the night!!

The way I seemed to accomplish that is NOT TO DRINK anything 2 hours before going to bed, taking my night meds earlier & eating supper earlier before bedtime.
OSCAR Reports, Friday, 11/18:
Daily View:

Statistics (for easier reading?):
https://imgur.com/a/Xflq32n
I'm not bothered about the 4.76 AHI because I was on my BACK at the end of Session 2. I remember having hip pain during that Session when on my sides, so I gave in and slept Supine to sleep comfortably, the heck with my AHI. Notice that the majority of events occurred between 1:30 & 3:30. (
That's in line with my 2009 sleep study that showed 4x the events when Supine as compared with Side sleeping.).
I seem to be okay on my sides until the middle of the night when I need a "break" from side sleeping. Rather than endure it & stay awake, seems best to give in to sleeping Supine for a while. Note that I WAS ABLE to go back to side sleeping for Session 3.
Also, my FLs seem to be looking better.
Any comments??
JoyD.
PS - Thanks to EVERYONE helping me get my "Quotes" right . . . I'll test them out next time I respond to a post.

This is what I do probably 90% of the time. It annoys the hell out of me to see a massive "quote" with large blocks of text and/or images repeated. Wasted band width IMHO.
If it's obvious what I am replying to I don't even bother with quoting. I mean it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what I am talking about.

Not quite half your total night AHI is going to be centrals/CAs so the obstructive stuff is actually not all that bad and the worst of it is obviously related to when you were on your back.
Given the choice of a little higher AHI when on my back and sleeping or not sleeping due to comfort issues....I will take the added events any day of the week. Without sleep....not much matters ...does it?
Plus I still strongly suspect that the bulk of your centrals are arousal related anyway and reflect not so ideal sleep quality which will likely always be a battle you have to wage. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the OA/hyponea flagging was also arousal related.
Baby steps...slow steps...and a big patience pill.
Maybe a little more minimum at some point to better deal with the supine stuff when/if it happens but you are seeing, and feeling, improvement which is very important.
I do think that if/when you can sleep a little more soundly that your AHI will drop on its own because of the reduction in arousal related flagging.

Hey, the name-quoting worked . . . and so simple! Thanks guys.
Pugsy, I forgot to mention that last night it was only a short time before I fell asleep at the beginning of each Session, and I believe I pretty much stayed asleep during the Sessions except for Session 2 when I was having hip pain . . . unlike previous nights when I was awake so much of the time. So, progress there! Since I've been on the current setting for 4 nights, I think I'll bump up my Min Pressure to 10.02, and see what incremental bumping up by .02 every few days will do.

is it not the same for you?

No.
There are two methods to do this, the one you described. And the one I described, which is available after you start composing your message.
- Press Post Reply in this topic
- Then in the post editor, scroll down
- Find my post
- Hi-lite some of the text in my post
- Then press the Quote Icon
Just the hi-lited text is inserted.
.......Magic......

Nope....we don't have to go back and edit anything unless we just want to.
The way you do it is
1...more work for you
2...more chance for you to get the quote screwed up where your reply ends up in the quoted box instead of after it...more chance for user error.
That's why I like snippets....highlight the text and then I click on the quote button.

This is what I do probably 90% of the time.
All snippets...no editing needed...much less steps involved...much less "work" for me to do.
I never do more work than I absolutely half to.
