I am wondering if the Luna brand machine doesn't do stuff the way we are used to seeing stuff done with the other brands.?????

Same here, wondering now if I should have bought a top name brand.

It’s strange because whatever the resflex (epr) is set to the pressure goes up that amount and stops during inhale
Ex:
Treatment pressure : 8.5
Resflex : 2
It will go up to 10.5 during inhale and stop - if it’s set at 3 it will go to 11.5

Maybe with the Luna when the exhale relief is used it does things backwards from the other brands????
Adding to the setting instead of taking it away like all the other brands do.
I dunno...never seen one of those off brands.
I haven't had the time, energy or inclination to go digging in the manual. Sorry.

I would be having a screaming fit to have a machine that wasn't such an "off brand" and doing weird crap.
I would be taking it back and asking for a ResMed.
The reason it is promoted....it's less expensive than the ResMed...and remember that old saying "you get what you pay for".
Did you know your insurance pays exactly the same no matter the brand or model??? So equipment suppliers make more money when they supply one of the cheaper off brands. Guess which one they will want to dispense???

Bummer. You bought it out of pocket. Damn.
Well maybe you could still make it work but I have no idea how to help with the settings or test things out or verify results.
Maybe someone else could help. I can't right now. I have a dead horse out in the pasture to deal with. Double damn.

We're used to comfort settings being defined as a drop from the inhale pressure - with inhale pressure being the max.
Maybe on your machine you're expected define the comfortable exhale pressure, and then it adds to that for inhale?

I did find this:
7. Available Therapies
The device delivers the following therapies:
CPAP – Delivers Continuous Positive Airway Pressure; CPAP maintains a constant
level of pressure throughout the breathing cycle.
AutoCPAP – Delivers CPAP therapy and provides an air pressure no less than the
prescribed one based on the patient’s needs.
Why would anyone make special note of the fact that their machine provides an air pressure
no less than the prescribed one " ????
Maybe their basic design thinking on the APAP is similar to the thinking about Auto bi-level pressure, in which there's a prescribed pressure and "Pressure Support"?
And are you absolutely sure the machine you have is an APAP and not an Auto Bi-Level?

Where do you see it working "both ways"?
Let's suppose Reslex is
not EPR but rather "pressure support" i.e. pressure added to "the minimum you need".
Set up your "Treatment pressure" to whatever you want your minimum to be (IPAP-EPR in Resmed's terms)
Set up your Reslex to the differnce you want between inhale and exhale and give it few nights' try.
There seems to be "method, not fault with its madness" - go with it instead of fighting it.
I can't see any harm in trying. Do you?
