How can the HumidX be washed in water?

Post by LeonArnold » Fri Sep 30, 2022 7:55 am

I'm using the AirMini with a HumidX filter that snaps into my mask because I just started a three-week trip away from home. ResMed clearly states that HumidX cartridges are valid for 30 days after the packaging is opened (although I assume that's more for marketing purposes). Can someone tell me if I should regularly flush the HumidX with water?

The HumidX filter is treated with a special chemical which reacts with water in breath.
This chemical deteriorates as it is exposed to moisture in the air.
30 days, more or less, is the normal usable life.
Intentionally exposing the material to water will destroy/remove the chemical.
Don't do that.
