DMEs that will register to Airview?

Post by mehfisto » Thu Sep 22, 2022 3:14 am

I bought my Airsense and Airmini from DMEs that turned out to not support registering provider in Airview.

Does anyone know of a DME that will do this (I don't care if it's for a fee).

Appreciate any feedback.

Did you go thru insurance?
My understanding is those programs are mainly used so the DME has proof you are using and can bill insurance.

DL and use Oscar which will give you so much more data & info and will be available whenever you choose to look at it.

I did not. All those DMEs were not willing to help me to come up with a plan that supports my frequent business travel. I just bought them from online suppliers. My own fault for not doing more education first, but trying to solve the issue now. I've got Oscar for myself and agree it's great. But I want my doctor to get data as well. I am having some issues and called them (I'm overseas), and they have no data to look at to help me.

You can share detailed data with your doctor by sending them a link to SleepHQ -- similar to OSCAR, but on the net.

I'm not sure it would work out of the country even if you could register for it. Doesn't it run on our cell towers ? Wouldn't it be easier to scan your oscar charts and email them to the doctor ?

babydinosnoreless is referring to Airview.

SleepHQ gives your doctors the ability to zoon into the data that they're interested in - while sending an image of an Oscar chart is what you want to zoom on, and is static.

Post your Oscar charts here.....you may get the help you need. There are several people here that know more than most doctors.

And that is why.

I'm sure there is money involved somewhere.
I can't imagine Re$med charging them to register a Re$med cpap but it sure could be, I guess.

I have been told AirView is a paid service. Most DME’s pay for it in order to supply compliance data to insurance companies, and to curry favor with local docs -- send referrals here and we will link you to your patients data. There is little incentive for them to offer the service for machines purchased elsewhere.

For consultation with you doctor, sleepHQ, is probably your best/fastest option.

As suggested above, I would post your OSCAR charts here, and see what the local experts can tell you. They know more than most docs I know!!

It sounds like you may have doctors willing to collaborate with you, that's a good thing.

You can ask them what they would like to see in your data, and share your Oscar charts with them. No need for a middle man.

And if you are traveling a lot, be aware of the disruptions to your sleep cycle which may impact the efficacy of your treatment and your charts may be off kilter due to different time zones.
