CPap mini proper mask?

Post by Kcclout » Tue Sep 20, 2022 11:29 am

Im having such a hard time trying to find the correct full face mask for a Resmed mini portable machine, I’ve been using the little full face mask F-30 and isn’t working for me, I need a full face mask that will work with my Mini setup, at home I have the regular resmed machine, but because I travel I use the mini .. I haven’t been able to use it properly what is the specific model for a full face biggest mask size M, there are so many choices I can’t choose the right one, the nasal full face mask doesn’t work for me I wake up gasping for air, I need one that will cover my mouth and nose fully any advice would be helpful I tried using the one I use with the big resmed CPap machine but fitting don’t work with each other unfortunately

I've been using Resmed F20 with the AirMini for over 5 years. It has multiple sizes. I used the silicon version. I switched to the F20 from the Quattro Mirage. F20 is lighter seals better and it doesn't have the forehead pressure point. I've also used this mask with my full-time machines. I'm also using the humidx f20 for humidification improvement and it works pretty well.

What was the problem? The F-30 is a great mask. I have recently transitioned to the F-30i - even better.

The Mini has a weird connection--a feeble attempt to force the user into a specific
Resmed mask. (No reason aside from GREED)
Get the adaptor. Use the mask you like.

Resmed supports the F30 on the Airmini. The custom hose connections/hoses support P10/F20/N20/N30/F30. And as pointed out there are more generic adapters that allow standard hoses. List of available connection kits from Resmed: https://shop.resmed.com/en-us/sleep-sto ... toset/kits

I also use the F30 with my Airsense 11 and just purchased an Airmini. The F30 is supported by the mini but without any humidification.
So for a full face mask you have to go to an F20 which I have no experience with. I may indeed try the F20 at some point but I already know how the N30
works (some leaks due to mouth opening) so will go with the N30 for Airmini to start as it does support Humidx. If I struggle I may have to try the F20.
I know there are hose adapters so one can use any mask with the Airmini, but you lose humidification so not sure if that is much of a solution.

I have always used the same machine at home and traveling.
Realized early on that humidification would never be an option.
I travel light by leaving that extra pair of shoes at home.
They hurt my feet anyhow. Why suffer--life is short.
Pointy toes squish my flippers.
