S mode vs S/T mode

Post by lfglatz54@gmail.com » Sun Sep 18, 2022 2:15 pm

I have an IBreeze STA 30 bipap machine. Prescription S mode 15/11. My average AHI is 20. Report says that OSA 2.2 and CSA 18.8. My Dr. has ignored the fact that the majority of my sleep apneas are Central. I think my mode should be changed to S/T. I would make the change to test my hypothesis but I don't know the settings for all the parameters listed in S/T on my machine. Any suggestions? LTG

What's the chances of your finding a more qualified doctor to treat your CSA?
1....a better/more effective machine might be nice
2....or at least a better qualified mode than S mode to deal with CSA? S/T mode isn't the best but it is sure better than S mode.

I am sorry but I am not familiar at all with the IBreeze STA 30 so since we don't know what your setting options are...can't advise as to which settings.

Agree. I got stuck with the IBreeze due to supply chain, but I think it will work with the right support. I saw the Dr. last Tues. with these results and he just set up another appt for JANUARY. LTG

Looks like iMatrix software will read the data. Can you export a file?

You can eother upload the contents of the SD card to dropbox, drive or similar and I can look at it, or load up iMatrix yourself and try to muscle through it.

You got a plan, or just kinda wingin' the dials around and see what happens?

Make sure everything is in a folder, share the folder, then copy and paste the link.

Based on my question to the Dr. regarding my CSA 18.8 he wants to do the following...he said he cannot just change my treatment to S/T based on the report from my IBreeze STA30. He ordered another titration at the sleep study lab. I will go along with his treatment plan 1 more time. I don't believe this is the case but I will give him one more chance because there is not another sleep medicine physician in network within 50 miles.

What are the results of the last titration? There's NFDIMM that he already has the information he needs to make an informed (HAHAHAHAHAHA) decision.

And he shouldn't be looking at the "report" he should be looking at the "data" in iMatrix. I mean, I have it, and I'm an anonymous internet poster, and he doesn't have it?

Prescription S mode 15/11.
What I would be looking for is why they chose to go to BiPAP. There aren't a lot of reasons in the titration protocol. I'd get the long report and review the Titration Table.

I atttached my sleep study results from 4/23/22. Please review and let me know what they show. I will get another machine if needed, BUT I want to make sure the treatment is correct.
