When starting out, there will be discomfort, for almost everybody.
It helps to develop a sort of non-denominational zen with the mask.
Accept the abnormal feelings--learn to dance with it.
Don't fight cpap.
If possible, get your kink on.

Today I found out how fragile my DreamStation 2 is, so I thought I'd share a good tip for the newbies. Do not put the hose completely on the air outtake tube, otherwise you'll need scissors to remove it. Just put the tube on the outtake tube just enough to where it is secure.

Sadly, everyone has among their family, friends, etc. a naysayer,
a person who must share some disturbing, but baseless "factoid" about cpap.
Do not try to correct them--stupid is incurable.
Just get away from them. (Fingers in ears, chanting, singing, etc.)
Some people must say something--anything to make themselves feel important.
Identify these people, and pay them no mind, because they have none of their own.
