I was wrong. I do not have narcolepsy. I am just severely depressed. Thanks for the help everyone. I have problems, but it is not my sleep apnea and it is not narcolepsy/IH.
Don't you go for testing tomorrow?
I am sorry about your depression and I do hope you get that treated properly as well. It isn't an easy thing you are going through with your mom right now but things will get easier.
Take care of yourself.

Tomorrow mentioned was mentioned on Monday August 15……so tomorrow was Tuesday the 16th. Last week.
Sounds like today he got the results.

Yep. Got the letter over the weekend. I am just depressed and have a nonspecific sleep disturbance issue. But nothing that should make me critically sleepy. Indeed the difference between sleepy and tired are more different than I thought. A doctor just about promised me that I had Narcolepsy in June of last year. I spent a year with that thought, and now it has been proven incorrect. I am glad I don't have a neurological issue. In the future, I will be more mindful of the power I give certain people.

not to mention-
this is something that i wish i could learn. i give far too many people the power over me. maybe someday, i'll learn.
in the meantime, i'm very happy that you've found what your "problem" is. and i'm sad to know that it isn't a "simple" fix like controlling sleep apnea.
good luck!

Hey! That GIF react is Jalen Hurts. Go Birds.
Well. the CPAP has made my blood pressure issues go away. It has also seemingly made my IBS go away. And at least with depression I can work on it through CBT and other means. In a way, I suppose it's easier than treating a serious neurological dysfunction. Thanks <3

Well I’m back. Took me a while to accept that I don’t have a sleeping disorder. I think the reality is that I’m going through a major depressive episode. I don’t think any amount of sleep would make me feel well rested when I feel this way.
I don’t really know what else I could be doing in the sleep department. My AHI is under two every night. I go to sleep. I wake up around eight hours later. And it’s in a fog and extremely tired.

Actually I do have a question.
Last night for some reason my water tank/humidifier remained unused. As in, when I woke up it was still full. It had somehow changed itself back to Auto from Manual, but act is all I can think of. Any thoughts?

If the ambient room humidity is already high (or as high as auto gives) then the machine may not need to add much moisture to the air and thus water consumption will be either nothing or next to nothing.
What was your ambient humidity? Any chance it was raining where you live?

Thank you for the response! I had the AC on downstairs. I actually started sleeping on the couch the last two weeks. I seem to sleep better on the couch for some reason. My AHI is almost always below one every night now that I have been sleeping on the couch. I don’t know if that’s a mental thing, a positional thing, or not being bothered by other people.
I have also made personal choice as well as with my psychologist to get off the mirtazapine. I just don’t know what it’s doing for me anymore other than making me extremely tired, emotionally blunted, disassociated, and frustrated. I know that it helps with my anxiety, but I am going to see why things are like for at least a few weeks off medication, at which point I will broach other medication choices.
It is clear for my sleep test that I do not have narcolepsy or any other discernible sleep disorder other than fragmented sleep. The only thing I can think of to try at this point is cheating or changing medication like I mentioned above, and perhaps sleep consolidation. Or CBTi.

Keep in mind that this test was done WHILE I was on Remeron.

Need long report to quantify arousals and awakenings and look at the histogram.
"Nonspecific sleep architectural impairment" huh? I guess that sounds a little flashier than TWA.
You have the long report for the original diagnostic?
IMO you need to decide if a better approach might be taking a long-acting sleep-oriented medication rather than a sleep-friendly ADM and cut out the middle man. Run it by Grewal since you're paying her all this money.

Are you saying take some sort of RX sleeping aid??? I have been thinking that but sort of afraid to say it.
If so...what RX sleep aid is more "long acting"...and not so much the fall asleep helping kind but doesn't do much for the staying asleep part. This is a battle I personally face due to other health issues. Latest experiment is Belsomra which is "okay" but far from perfect. Are you aware of anything out there that might do a better job.
