Not cancer this time

Post by chunkyfrog » Thu Jul 28, 2022 6:49 pm

If it isn't one thing, it's something else.
I have been fighting lower back pain and unexplained leg pain for over two years now.
PT paused by covid; resumed after chemo--paused again. (Thanks, Medicare)
Finally convinced my PCP that I needed this damn thing FIXED.
A real diagnosis: spinal stenosis--looks nasty.
I have surgery finally scheduled--L5-S1Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion.
(Rear end alignment?)
I am hoping to finally be able to walk again like an evolved biped.
The deed is to be done on August 24--and I am keeping my port for the time being.
No sense being sore on rear AND front concurrently.
My oncologist gave his blessing--pretty sure this cancer is gone.

Good luck.
Hubby had that done on his cervical spine last year and it was a game changer for him.
Hope you get good results as well.

Good luck, Chunky!
And now here is my secret, a very simple secret; it is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.

The frog has proven to be tougher than an Australian rules football club. Here’s hoping for a successful surgery and recovery. You are inspiring.

I still feel more lucky than super.
The bullfrog is such a dear; and he has had it worse than I.

Not surprisingly, the hospital wants me to bring my own cpap machine.
Of course, I prefer to use my own.

Prayers and best wishes to you and the bull frog, CF.
It definitely helps to have someone to go through these challenges with.
