Traveling with DreamStation and F20 mask

Post by MikeKing77 » Sat Jul 16, 2022 3:21 pm

This past week because the central air conditioner broke down in my home I had to take a hotel for several nights. This is the first time I have traveled since I started using a CPAP machine. I found out what a huge inconvenience it is to transport the machine and the mask is. I was planning on flying in the Fall. The power supply is very heavy and bulky. You can't pack the mask in the same bag as the the DreamStation. There is only room for the DreamStation and the power supply. When I travel I normally take a backpack to carry my phone and iPad and medication. A suitcase which I have to check. And now the CPAP machine. Having to lug an extra bag around is a real inconvenience especially if you travel overseas. I would consider the AirSense but it doesn't have a humidifier. Without that my nose would clog up. I have had issues with that for years. Even some nights with the DreamStation my nose would clog on one side. I guess you have to deal with carrying the CPAP with you but it certainly makes traveling less enjoyable.

I think maybe the OP was musing out loud about getting the ResMed AirMini travel machine and it doesn't have a humidifier at all. You have to use those humidX thingies.
