I have to say. I feel pretty good today. :D
yay! now, try to stay with your current settings for a day or so. let your body get used to this before making any other changes.

unless, of course, pugsy says different.

I have been saying that for the entire time....along with take 2 patience pills.
Actually I want him to stay the course for 30 days at these settings. They are working in terms of apnea prevention.
95% of his flagged events aren't asleep events anyway...they are centrals because of awake irregular breathing false positives.

Billy - I am a great believer in the power of the mind. After you get to the machine, talk to yourself. Tell yourself the machine is your friend. Tell yourself that sleep apnea can contribute to serious medical conditions. Tell yourself that you Can and Will be successful with CPAP. Tell yourself over and over. Do not allow doubt in the door. It's not "I'll try" or "we'll see," it's I CAN DO THIS.

And the best piece of all (my opinion) -- the notion that time, patience and perseverence will accomplish all things.

I love this! I am totally committed to this working. It’s not an option for me. Giving me energy back I haven’t had a long time. Which is making my mental health better. Which is making my stomach issues better. My IBS has seem to have gone away. My blood pressure is lower. I’m not sleeping great every night, but sleeping better tonight feeling better.

Been having a string of really great days. Dragging ass today. Don’t know why. Gotta take some of those patience pills :)

AHI 0.9 but 7:45 usage hours. Most nights the usuals hours are 8:30-9:30 so maybe simply just not enough sleep. Wife had to go to Emergency room this morning for a foot break (possible) and I felt like I awoke mid deep sleep.

You don't know why you're not feeling so chipper?

Ok. So dragging again a bit today. But there is a good reason, probably.

1. I did a lot of physical activity yesterday because I was so damn chipper.
2. It was hot as balls out.
3. I had 3 1/2 alcoholic drinks
4. I ate a lot of junk food

Looks like my actual CPAP data was great last night, so I am going to attribute it all to the above.

All that said, I am still doing fine!

If anyone is interested in my data, I attached some of the OSCAR data + screenshots:

Note: oddly it didn't seem to do the detailed data, last night. I don't know why.

We all have bad days and bad nights for all sorts of reasons.
Yesterday was a bad day for me simply because I only got barely 5 hours of sleep the night before...woke up hurting and just couldn't go back to sleep.
Today is better...got 7 hours of sleep and I feel decent so far today.

With time and experience you will learn what is a "trigger" for a bad day the next day.
Like overdoing it because you feel more like doing things or eating the wrong food which causes digestion issues which affect how you feel or your limit with alcohol beverages because alcohol can mess with sleep quality and it's sleep quality that directly affects how we feel during the day.

Me...I learned a long time ago that 6 PM is my limit for caffeine intact...any later than that and I have a lot of trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. Before that time limit doesn't seem to matter.
Also 6 PM is my time limit for one of my medications because after that I don't stay asleep well at all.

You will get it figured out and do what you can to prevent whatever it is that has messed with your sleep and affected how you feel the next day. The "overdoing" it part is probably the hardest one to mange though. I do it all the time now that I have accomplished some better pain management goals with a different treatment. I feel more like doing stuff so I do it...and then I pay for it later. I just call myself a dumbass and move on and secretly happy that at least I felt like doing something.

You are actually doing extremely well. Looks like those patience pills are working just fine.
It won't be long before you won't need them.

I am very happy for you.

Hahaha yep exactly. I felt good so I let loose. And thus here we are! Some days, on the hose, I feel like my old self. Then other times some doubt creeps in and I think well "the CPAP is helping, but maybe I have Narcolepsy too". I need to manage that cognitive distortion. It's not my fault the first bozo told me that, but there is no proof yet that I have that. And on good days I don't feel like I need much more energy than I have on that day. I will keep plugging away at this till my follow-up in late August. And we will discuss where to go from there, if anywhere. Some days I feel pretty satisfied with my energy levels and cognitive faculties. So I can't engage in "all or nothing" thinking as the CPAP is definitively helping. I am so so grateful for that.

I am grateful for all of you. THANK YOU!

Been there and done that with the AHI 0.0 and was so disappointed when I wasn't superwoman with tons of energy.
It's just not fair.
