Just thought that I would save you the time and trouble of mailing them out, unless you would rather that I send them back to you, PUGSY

:D :D
Saves me a trip to the post office.
Just make sure this guy is going to go through with getting a machine and all that first before you mail to him.
And if he bails on everything that he will return them to me.
No other stipulations and no real time frame for the use of them on a trial basis.

I have some of those masks that PUGSY is referring to, in fact, I got them from PUGSY. I'm getting ready to send them back to her, but give me your address, I will send them to you, instead. (If it is alright with PUGSY). Give me a day or two to wash them, as I have beeen trying all of them out to see which ones I like.
NO CHARGE!! As PUGSY did not charge me anything.
I appreciate this and will send you a private message.

And my husband isn't deaf or hard of hearing. His hearing is just fine except for when I tell him to do something...then he doesn't hear so great. I would bet your wife says you also have selective hearing loss.
Pretty sure that's the best evidence for Acupressure. The left ring finger in men is directly connected to the audio nerve.

Suggestions on a machine to ask for? What about masks?
This is where the in lab titration might come in handy because it would spot potential issues or pressure needs that might mean a different kind of machine but if playing the odds....you will do well with regular cpap/apap machine and chances are slim you will need anything special.
I have gotten to my deductible limit so perhaps an in-lab study is the best course. It might shorten the time to value.

For masks....it depends on your own personal preferences, wants and needs and you won't have any idea what they might be until you try one/them.
One question which is very important....do you normally breathe through your nose during the day easily?
Or do you have chronic significant nasal congestion that means you have to mouth breathe a lot.
That's a tough question since I don't have a metric for how much mouth breathing is too much. I do breath through my mouth on occassion during the day and certainly when I am lying on my back I can feel the air passing through my mouth as I snore. But my main airway is my nose. Congestion, barring colds, is not a huge concern (except during the Atlanta allergy seasons ).

The Bleep I use now...I have a diffuser on it as well...so silent with the diffuser on it. There's going to be a new improved Bleep coming out late summer...keep and eye out as there will be a lot of talk about it for sure. There has been a little bit lately but there won't be a lot yet until other people get to use it. I was one of the Beta testers....just about as nothing of a mask as possible.
I clicked through on the Bleep link on your posts and had some questions: what's the average monthly cost of the nose "stickers"? Are they single use? I like the idea of no headgear since I do tend to sleep "hot" and hate the itchy feeling a sweaty head gives me.

Also, I tend to roll around a lot. It appears this may go away with CPAP but assuming it doesn't how would the two masks in question be at handling this issue?

The Bleep stuff is covered under insurance for a lot of people. Same HCPCS billing codes as any nasal mask and each box that contains 2 weeks worth of "the nose stickers" is considered like one nasal cushion or 1 nasal pillow and most insurance will allow 2 per month. So using insurance the cost isn't any more than a replacement cushion copay.

Now if someone doesn't have insurance or just wants to self pay....Cost will depend on if someone buys in bulk or not.
There may be a Bleep package in that box of donated stuff I sent to the guy above to try. I don't know if he tried it or not.
When the Eclipse becomes available later this summer (hopefully) it is so much better than the Bleep.
You can see information about the Bleep and the updated version the Eclipse here.
https://bleepsleep.com/
The Bleep is sold on Amazon as well. Buying in bulk for other places is cheaper but to give you an idea...Amazon one box which is 2 weeks worth runs about 16 bucks. When buying in bulk you can almost cut the monthly cost in half.

Remember those personal preferences, wants and needs that I told you about that each person might have a different list????
I hate the headgear...and I hate the straps so I love the no headgear and straps of the Bleep.
My personal preference is as little on my face and head as possible.
The other mask that I can use and be okay with is the ResMed P10. It's about as nothing on the face and head that is possible with the more traditional masks. The P10 is my number 2 in preference list.

I was one of the Beta testers for the Eclipse...it's even a lot better than the Bleep original.

@ chipva - Life is all about perceptions and choices. Let me be blunt without offending you - - do you want your 3 kids to wind up with a dad who is an invalid (stroke, heart attack, etc) or a dad who is dead? Didn't think so. Do this for your KIDS' benefit. In my case, I talked to myself every night and said "this is my friend and will improve my health." Reframe your perceptions. Do you change your car's oil proactively to preclude future problems, or do you want around till the car doesn't work well anymore? You CAN do this, as many before you have done. Yes there is effort, but so worth it. Nuff said. Best of luck to you.
