It also occurred to me I could have completely the wrong mask size - it's a small, but I never got measured just guessed and ordered everything online. I'm looking at some of the sizing guides now.

I would also check into the possibility that you may have the wrong size of frame (too large for your head) for your mask.
There is a small, standard, medium and large frame for that mask.

In addition to that, you could check out some of the youtube videos about fitting and adjusting the mask you are using. Some of the videos are quite good.

If I am right at the edge of small on the F30i mask sizing guide would suggestion be to get a small or medium mask. Don't want too tight but I don't want leaks or too much air in my face so...

In the F30 I am a medium, my nose just fits in that first half oval but instructions are just pics so it's hard to tell exactly how to use it, I am assuming shouldn't touch edges.

So did the big gulp of air cause the central apnea?
I think you are beyond this, but just for good order's sake and good terminology, it's not an apnea if the subject is awake
Yes, by definition it is.
It's just not sleep apnea.
Q: Does apnea mean not breathing?
A: Apnea is the medical term used to describe slowed or stopped breathing.
It's just more commonly used in reference to sleep apnea.

It should be clear to someone of your vast knowledge that if it were only when one stops breathing while asleep, there would be no need to use the phrase "sleep" apnea.

I wasn't able to load data from last night into Oscar this morning because I had loaded a couple sessions while testing a mask out last night and it seems to think that was all it's downloading does anyone know how to get around this? It says Oscar is up to date but the card was in there and was able to download all of it to sleephq.

You might try purging last night's data and then importing again.
Go to File in OSCAR...then click on advanced...and purge selected date.
Then import again.

Lots of centrals end of night and around 230am

Don't know if it's important

That cluster of centrals at around 2:30 are only important if you were sound asleep when they happened and since there is an obvious break in therapy right close to that time frame I am betting you weren't sound asleep.
Now what might have woke you up....million dollar question.
I also suspect that the centrals flagged from approx 5:00 on are likely arousal/awake related.

I am a little bit concerned about the baseline leak numbers. Can't see exactly what it is but it doesn't appear to never go down to 0.0. I had this happen to me a few months ago and I had a small hole in my heated hose.
You might do the water test to see if there is a small hole somewhere in the heated hose. It was the only way that I found the hole in my hose because I never could actually feel it.
The water test is where you carefully fill the hose with water and look for leaks. Mine was up around where the hose attached to the humidifier. Probably courtesy of a kitty claw.

Yes you are correct I was trying to not get up and go to the bathroom right before the break.

I will check for the leak, a cat claw is entirely possible, surprised they have not chewed up the whole thing yet but I didn't think they discovered it yet. Do you guys pack everything away somewhere during the day?

According to the Martha Stewart protocol, my mask and tubing go into a dresser drawer every morning and the machine is left on the nightstand. (First, the mask gets wiped down with an alcohol swab (the kind found in the diabetic supplies section of any pharmacy).)

It should be clear to someone of your high forum esteem, that words are defined within their context.

No. Nothing special really. The mask I shove under the bed pillow and that's about it. Everything else is out and exposed and fair game. Been on cpap a little over 13 years and that's the first time that maybe one of the cats got a claw in it.
To be fair that particular hose had been through probably 3 machines and had over 20 K hours on it...so I don't know for sure the kitty was to blame. It is entirely possible that it just gave out due to old age.
My cats have never really seemed to want to play with any of the cpap stuff. If it was a claw hole I am sure it was an accident. The cats have been known to walk on the machine or table and maybe lose balance and start to fall and then grab whatever is handy.
Now I did have the cats want to play with a nasal pillow once...knocked it off the counter, where it was drying, and then the dog thought it was a new chew toy and ate it. Otherwise none of my pets have really ever paid any attention to the mask or hose or whatever.

I tested with water and seems to be no leaks. Do I have to do anything to dry it? Or how long does it take to air dry.

Was you dog ok after he ate the nasal pillow?!

Yes, the dog was fine...big dog who ate it and I found it in a pile of poop in the back yard...almost whole.
I thought I had lost my mind when it disappeared but then I found it and light bulb went off in my head.

As for drying the hose...not really all that necessary for it to be totally dry. Just shake out the excess so it won't make noise and use it. Remember when you turn it on you are adding some moisture anyway when you use the humidifier.
