You say "more". In your OP, you did not mention drying. Are your nasal passages getting dry?
Actually i just assumed that higher humidity would be beneficial for sinusitis related issues. The same way people recommend using saline nose spray. I don't have a problem with dried out nasal passage.
I'm going to reduce the level on 1-2 tonight and check out if it does anything for me.
For the rainout that what I experienced previously with a higher level and that started to cause super loud sounds in the tube.

Been there. Done that. Typical newbie mistake - thinking if a little humidity is good, a lot of humidity is great.

Sometimes too much humidity can cause congestion, so it's worth it to try lowering it one notch and see how it goes.
FFM, referred to by Architect is a "Full Face Mask". When I have nasal congestion due to a cold, I wear a FF mask so that I can breathe through my mouth. It DOES dry my mouth out uncomfortably (I don't use a humidifier for one thing, but even a humidifier has a hard time keep up with mouth breathing). Being able to breathe trumps a dry mouth.
FFM's are annoying. They are hard to adjust and to avoid leakage. They are generally uncomfortable and bulky. But breathing is nice.
I've also noticed that during some high allergy times (I think I'm allergic to tree pollens), one nostril will get congested. If I turn over to the other side, that one will clear and I can sleep for a while before the other nostril gets congested. But I don't take off my mask!

I started with a FFM but then taught myself to breath thru my nose and use nasal pillows. The pillows have far less contact with the skin and less area to leak. Many here use a FFM when they get a cold or congestion.
For me - I found using the pillows opened my sinuses right up and I could breath and heal thru the nite.
I once tried the FFM again just to see and just could not tolerate it.
But I will say that since starting cpap I've had far fewer colds and they were also milder.

In the beginning I had the same exact problem, FFM resolved. Nasal rinse, saline nasal spray works a charm for me. Wish you well.
Thanks, but what you mean by FFM?
Full Face Mask...

OP asked (above) what does FFM mean. Full Face Mask, which by definition means one that covers both the nose and the mouth. FFMs work for some folks, not for other folks. Some go all the way up to the top of the nose, some cradle under the nose. Some like the Resmed F20, but in my case it produces leaks into the eyes. Some like the Resmed F30, which cradles the nose. Some like the Fisher & Paykel Amara View or the new F&P Evora. And there are other choices. May I suggest going to the website cpap.com, the sponsor of this blog, and look at the selection of FFMs. This will give you a good grounding. There are also a zillion YT videos that will address the subject.
