Luna g3 Bpap issue maintaining IPAP pressure

Post by ldt2g10 » Mon Jun 06, 2022 3:05 pm

user of Luna g3 bpap.

anyone else have issues with it maintaining IPAP pressure. I have an E of 9 and an I of 13. It seems to only hit 13 for a very very brief time before dropping back down again.

This seems to be a new development based off of the the number of events I had last night being much higher than usual...

i don't know of any regulars to the forum that use your machine, so it might be tough getting answers.

sorry!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Yeah I've had that problem. Probably has to do with with I sens and E sens settings. And/or the rise time setting. Unfortunately the manual is not really helpful at all.

I never got used to the machine unfortunately, even with the inhale sensitivity at the highest setting sometimes I would go to inhale and nothing would happen.

I've been using a Phillips Dreamstation for almost 3 years. I received B3 Luna II to replace my Dreamstation due to the recall. I tried using the Luna II for a full week and never got a good night's sleep. I adjusted the Min & Max pressure, finally trying a narrow range of 6cpm to 8.5 cpm to reduce the pressure to a comfortable range. I kept waking up with a very dry mouth 3-4 hours in, even when I used a mouth strip to make sure my mouth wasn't wide open during the nght. No help.

The clinical settings have a very limited adjustment range and this was supposed to be a CPAP, but it acted more like a BPAP and definitely was not capable of auto adjusting anything.

I finally gave up and returned the darned thing and went back to using the Dreamstation, which gives me a full night's rest very reliably. My replacement Dreamstation finally arrived and I'll pick it up next week. I DO NOT recommend a Luna II to anyone.
