Let's just say that, judging from the state I'm in, I contain multitudes.
But I do keep my humidifier delivering the most humidity it can without causing rainout. All seasons.

I tried heated humidification for maybe one or two nights when I started therapy......and then turned it off and made sure I couldn't accidentally turn it on. I live in a dry mountainous area so the air passing over the water picks up enough humidity for my needs/comfort and keeps my nasal passages open.
I should also note that the temperature in my bedroom is consistently in the low-to-mid-60s.

It depends on the climate. But yes, it seems to me that the high temperature is worse if the humidity is high.
